Before you click CONFIRM PAYMENT, you should take a moment to see if they're not doubling the price.
Figured my hosting price got doubled on final payment and this is what they have say.

I know a lot would disagree on why am still using NC for hosting, I've just been lazy moving all my stuff out.
It's been horrible.

This is the most unprofessional response to a complaint that I'm seeing for a while now. And I use namecheap for many of my sites.

I used them for hosting back in 2015 once and I didnt like it.
Better to find another hosting alternative and keep it only for domains.
I readed here that some guys that were doing CPA got their account suspended and lost the domains and host at the same time.

Well, I've seen a lot of people complaining about Namecheap, what they doing is very unproffesional.

How about Namecheap canceling my domain order because "ItS PrEmIuM dOmAiN So sOrRY ItS a MiStAkE"? It should be their fault pricing it how they did.

Explanation: found a nice domain, not .com/.net but it had a good keyword. Bought it for $15 or something like that, they cancel the order. I asked them wtf, they said it was a premium domain and by mistake it appeared with that price, so they are sorry but they won't give it to me for that price.

So they followed up .

This is not the first time I would be facing this issue . I’m sure they aware of it .

Namecheap has some asshole practices as their standards.
If you renew stuff like SSL for more than two or five years, you'll get notification that you need to buy and renew next year anyway. No mention anywhere that you have stored years of free renewals.

pay attention to this , this is 100% accurate. I'm not sure if its a bug or they are just skimming money. You go back to try and look for the receipt for the years you payed for and its gone.

Namecheap used to be my favorite when it was about my early days on IM, their support used to be the best but nowadays they are just as the same as other registrar with support that is just not oriented in solving problems

So is it safe for CPA (domains only) or not so much?

I be satisfied with namecheap and yes I see some slight tricky part they use, when I set in my dashboard domain sI not use anymore, I can set them to auto renew off but I can not delete them. So I think they will take my domain name after grace period and sell it on their auction.

Most important thing is paypal auto renew payment to your webhosting, paypal gives the merchants a legal grayhat loophole to take money from you any time they want (expecial with godaddy) see this note I got from my paypal account after setup new payment:

"Merchants can collect payments from a customer's PayPal account at a later date by direct debit. These payments are collected only when needed and not at a set time. You no longer need to log into your PayPal account when these payments are sent."

The trick here is the "set time" set time only would be correct, this is the date on next month you get the new webhosting invoice.
I bought today webhosting plan at Tuesday, so 30 May 2023 will be the next set time: 30 June next month as an example.

Not when the merchants need it- this means they can take at anytime and as many times the merchant wants.
Please be aware of that ,the next years (I hope not) WEF will make our lifes harder and more expensive, so please be aware when you have auto renewal paypal payments, merchants will doing all tricks to leech your money out form paypal.

Godaddy last year I had a hosting package with them they took in one month 2x times money from my paypal account ! Paypal allows it with htis loophole "when needed" isntead of "set time".
