My Success: SERP Domination :)

by the way
what results do you use from market samurai to determine your ranking potential?

I use market samurai to retrieve more accurate traffic results. (Still not very accurate, but better than Adwords tool.

i'm very glad you mentioned about this ... can you confirm this is the results you get ? as it's big difference between 20k and 3k

also please try the freekeywords .wordtracker .com tool for your keywords and tell me what the results are on your website compared to this tool results.

i'm kindly asking this as i got some niches that i intend to target with the same amount of search voulme ov 20k from adwords statistics and now i'm not so sure about promoting this keywords anymore.

204k is competitive indeed .. from my statistics to rank #1 in G for this competition it's needed 1k backlinks that can be seen in google webmaster tools

hope that makes sense

Wordtracker shows that there is approx 13k searches for that keyword. Still far from the 3k mark. I guess that most users would use the first result which is the reason why I might be getting only a piece of the cake.

I will try adjusting my meta description a bit to make it even more relevant and will report back the results.

Great to read stuff like this, yousefgreat. I really like the milestones you set for yourself. Say you stopped campaigning for #1, what would you do to maintain your #2 position?

Thanks cooz4u.... I am sorry but I did not totally understand your question. Can you rephrase that?

What do you exactly mean by this? I thought eZine only allowed you to link to domain names and not sub-pages of the domain?

You can link to any page that you own on your website. You just can't post a direct affiliate link.

It is better to link to subpages than your domain. If you start to build PR to your inner pages they rank higher and that pushes your main page higher as well. When possible, I always provide a link in an ezine article to my subpages.

Well. I am not as smart as 90% of you guys here ;)

Here is how I reached #2 in SERPS for a competitive keyword using mostly white hat techniques:

1) I submitted an article to eZine for every main page of my website which is approximately 40 Main Pages. What I mean my Main Page is each page that has a high potential on making money either via Selling a Product, affiliating a product, etc..

2) Later on, I submitted these articles to 20 other Article directories. I spun some articles but mostly were the same

3) Created backlinks via blog commenting on mostly on-niche pages with PR1+ .

4) Created a small link wheel consisting of 4-5 web2.0 pages.

5) Ping every page with my link on.

6) Last but not least. PATIENCE

This ia great info and will help a lot of people that have been struggling to get ranked in the serps. So it looks like a simple combo of Article Marketing, Blog Marketing, and some link whelling done the trick for you on this one and it did not take a huge link wheel from what I can tell.

Great Job Keep up the good work, and by the way PATIENCE is KEY!!!!!

I am not making gold with this.. But a decent 4 to 5 dollars per hour which is a good 5 figure annual profit.

I have read here people making 100x more which is actually my main target... But again, you have to cross a couple of milestones before reaching your main target :)

12 months ago, I got a pen and paper and wrote down my goals revenue-wise. If anybody is wondering, here is what was written down there:

1) Reach a steady $1.00 per week (Done)
2) $1.00 per day (Done)
3) $10.00 per day (Done)
4) $50.00 per day (Done! I quit my job and told my boss to go fu%k himself)
5) $200.00 per day (Just reached that)
6) $500.00 per day (Oh boy, can't wait)
7) $1,000 per day (cough)

For me, the first and second milestones were the hardest. I got stuck at the fourth milestone for a couple of months but finally im done with it :)

I am not a genius. I just work hard.
To all newbies: You will not see results overnight. Keep working hard, dont give up!!
If I can do it, anybody can.

I had a similar set of goals when I got started in affiliate marketing. I have hit number 7 and I'd guess that you will hit it in 2 more years or less.

Remember to spend your money as though you are still making that $50 and you will be much more happy in 10 years time then you will be if you let things slow down because you are out having fun.

You will be a guide to many here ;)

Thanks for the post and the linking ideas. I think what I found interesting is the small goals/milestones. I think to many times I have overlooked the baby steps that will lead to greatness.
Xray

I totally agree with you Xray, I know I overlook the baby steps thinking of the big picture. Not that having long term goals are a bad thing. I mean afterall that it the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But you need a map to direct you to that pot of gold and those are the baby steps or milestone that you must reach along the way.

congrats dude:)
loved your story.
me too really new to this area. trying to find my way out and tell moy bss to go and f*** himself :)

keywords tools won't sow exact data,,,,, i too got good rank in google for a good keyword which getting 800 searches daily, but i am getting only some 200 a day

do you think that you will get 100% of the searchers? 200 of 800 is quite good, at least there are of course more searches than real searchers because of seo-researchers

Well! I would trust Google Traffic results more than any other program. Why? Because Google is more aware of searches done on it than any other person/company (Plain common sense)

I have improved my Meta Description (The info that shows up when your website appears in Google Serps) and now I am getting 6,000 out of the estimated 20,000.

Where are the remaining 14,000? They probably went into another website that had a more motivating title/description or they might have just searched that specific query for the sake of it (SEO marketers for example) and I am sure there are pretty more reasons.

My keyword has been NO#1 early today, but not for long till it dropped down to #2. I think I am only one step behind the no#1 position. :D

This thread is kinda gay cuz the author wont tell us what keyword he is referring to or the niche. I wrote of SEO a long ago as being a waste of time, but if you can use it to get ahead by all means do so.

LOL!! You made me laugh.

I opened this thread to thank BHW and offer help to any newbies who have questions.

If you are too lazy to do some KEYWORD RESEARCH, Appropriate SEO and Ask questions here then it is not my problem. I obviously will not be saying my keyword nor my niche as it will probably be saturated in a couple of weeks.

Now, would you be kind enough to post a list of your successful niches and keywords? I am sure people will find it useful :P

You actually don't believe in SEO? That is the gayest crap I ever heard. No Offense!!

How do you know you where #1 today, are you using some sort of tracking software, or are you searching for the keyword ever 2 seconds :P

PS: Hehe if you're doing that then the remaining 14k searches that are not getting to your site are most probably yourself checking the keyword rakinking all the time :P hehe anyways... congrats mate I really enjoy reading threads like these were after doing all this work and everything you're still willing to contribute to the community rather then just keep everything for yourself like 99% of the rest of the internet marketers etc are doing...

Hope you'll be making your daily $1,000 pretty soon!!

You told your boss to go fudge himself LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
Thi is some funny shit dude! ROFL!!! :cow_yello

Site is 9 months old, however it took me 3 months of promotion to reach that.

To find quality backlinks, I simply visit random ******** blogs and search for SPAM! Yes you read it ----> Spam :)

Now copy the URL of that SPAM from the anchor text and goto:

Code:
http://www.backlinkwatch.com

This website will allow you to spy on all the links originating from this website and will show you if these links are ******** or NOFOLLOW.

Obviously, you will need to target ******** since you will be getting link juice from that for Google (Nofollow might have some effect on other SE like yahoo and msn)

Just keep searching for URLS spamming here, put 'em in backlinkwatch and and you've got hundreds of thousand of pages to comment on.

You can use massive PR checkers to filter out these pages to target PR1+

Come on.. use your imagination and blast up your PR. I have helped a client reach PR5 with this method. You Can TOO!!

I know exactly what you're referring t as SPAM, and they seem to work.
But I'm having a difficult time with these because some are foreign and I don't how to comment/leave a link on a blog that is in chinese.

Do you do all the commenting manualy, do you use roboform?

How do you automate or semi-automate the process?
It's too time consuming to leave links on these pages that take time to load. (I'm on a 24mbit broadband)

Would be greatful if you had some tips on leaving links faster on these spam sites.

THANKS!

3000 a day is good but what niche is it?

high paying...

Can't believe people are still asking for the niche or keyword the OP targeted...

Even if he tells you guys which niche...99% of the people won't do shit anyway!

Sorry for the rant...
