Posts in several subforums don't add your post count, such as Introductions, Lounge...
Another day, any inch closer. Ive still got several posts that arent indexing yet...but google is a strange beast. That hot keyword that dissappeared reappeared today, this time on page 3. Those other heavy hitting keywords also showed up on the top 100. Rank watching is fun and addictive, but I think I need to start restricting my "sessions" to once per day.
Today I set up adsense on my site. I may add amazon to my bottom tier in the future...but for now amazon works. I've also added one 2000 word landing page and built out two web 2.0's. Can't wait till tomorrow when I will have even more time to work!

I admit, I cheated a little bit on my self imposed restriction of looking at rankings. No remorse though, I have a 27k KW ranking on the fourth page of google! CPC is less than a buck .78, but I'm not complaining. Ok back to work!
Added a large landing page and about 5 backlinks yesterday and guess what. I GOT MY FIRST CLICK!!! So yeah I'm super pumped about that. I'm still having trouble indexing pages and I won't hit my goal of having 30 landing pages done due to other life circumstances. However...I've got quite a few keywords in the top hundred already so its just a matter of getting it done since I already know this will work out.
Nice thread! Just like others have said, you're experiencing the Google "dance". This is completely normal. I've had keywords completely disappear for several weeks at a time, only to return higher than they were before. I think that's Google's attempt to scare you into stopping what you're doing in terms of backlinking. Don't stop, just stay consistent.
tier 3, yeah mine are not ranking at all. Its weird, If my second first home page is Soda, and my second tier is coke, and I have a third tier on diet coke, the second tier coke will rank for diet coke but the third tier will not.
I'm using wordpress, but it is VERY difficult to get wordpress to silo. There are a lot of places that PR can leak, for instance the navigation system, images auto-linking to their content page, etc. The wordpress plugin that Martin linked is a way to get wordpress to work for silo's, but there is still a lot of additional leg work that needs to be done to get it to work right
Yeah, being new to this I tend to spaz out a bit. I'll have a keyword on second page and then no where, I kind of don't know what to think at the moment, but it still isn't going to change my game plan.
