That's a pretty cool thread from CCarter http://www.wickedfire.com/enlightened-members/165738-online-reputation-management-hacker-style.html , if you're interested.

This guy has a lot info shared on wickedfire and is one of the owners of serpwoo. They've got a bst on here

So I am curious, if you are running everything through originalposters system, what is your backup plan if he vanishes? Do you have another system in place just in case? If so I would be curious to see it. Good luck with your journey you are doing great!

Good question. But for the record, our platform is doing extremely well and have been releasing new features almost every month for the past 1.5 years. We have a lot of pending features we are still working on, and most importantly, we are also an ORM agency and work with offline businesses (except we charge them A LOT more for the same access/platform).

With such high ROIs and opportunities out there in the ORM niche, you really should consider jumping in and start making money with us instead of worrying of the above.

I would be happy to work with your platform and hope to very soon!

To be clear, I just want to have a plan in place in case (for example) you got hit by a car or something to that extreme. I would be an idiot to jump into this business without a backup plan. Hence my question to 1337 who seems to be finding success, and had something in place before working with your platform.

I had no intention of putting down you or your platform, I just like to do my due diligence before leaping into something unfamiliar.

Also if you are an ORM business... what is to stop you from attempting to take our customers if we use your platform? Again I don't mean to attack your integrity, however you are literally giving your competition your platform.

I have no intention to hijack 1337WuLF's thread here, so I am just going to be brief.

I totally understand from your perspective and definitely not offended with your concerns. I would be asking the same questions if I were in your shoes. One thing that I learned over the past 18 months (since I started running my agency) is that you should never solely rely on 1 service, and should constantly offering more value to your clients.

For me is the same. ORM has become one of many services I offer, and often use it to approach new prospects. It unique and fresh to most people I talk to, they never knew about why reviews are so important (or didnt even know it exists at the first place). Most find my meetings very informative (and not just selling) and even educational. I then show exactly what my service (platform) does, and most will pay right on the spot - they just want to get started immediately.

Once the relationship is built, I will continue to upsell more of my other services such as email marketing, social media management and more, and eventually, what I am offering is not just ORM, but a full solution to anything web related for their business. We no longer talk or focus solely on ORM, SEO, PPC alone, but 'the contribution to their bottom line'. That's the difference between a ORM/SEO/PPC provider or an agency. We look at the big picture and ROI.

So in conclusion, do what you can 'NOW' and focus on whats happening 'NOW'. I am confident that my platform and service will continue to expand as planned.

As for your second question, I consider myself as a baker, and I believe business is no a zero sum game. I am not a fan of domination and believe there is enough pie for everyone - especially when we live in different cities and countries, so you aren't exactly my competition. There is absolutely no reason for me to take your clients when I can't even find enough time to handle mine :). Well, of course, if you are operating your business in where I live, then that's a different story.

Hope it helps!

By the looks of it apartment complexes seems to be really where it is at... But do you have any idea how to find owners for these places? Seems harder than regular businesses

I'm doing exactly what you're doing (I've read 7878's thread near 20 times) and this is my first real breakthrough as far as offline marketing goes. I offer everything you do with one exception. The funnel system. How did you create such a system? I feel like having this service in place would make selling much easier. Even a brief answer pointing me in the right direction would be very helpful.
Thanks, this thread is extremely helpful and informative.

Read through the thread dude :)

I talk about which funnel I use and where I get it.

You sure? I read the whole thing earlier and just searched through it again with F3 and I can't find it

I read Paul Gormann's How to Out-Smart Out-Market Out-churn and burn etc book from amazon, and in the book he mentions himself or one of his clients sending a letter with a teabag in it. Not some penny teabag, but a good one. The books was written around 98 I believe, so some parts of the books will be outdated.
That would be an awful idea in the US.

It can easily be taken as derogatory, because of its political association. So it would be taking a chance at the wrong impression.
Code:

In Britain quality tea is associated with high-value/high-end. Might also be the case in Common Wealth countries.

OP you said you were going to try this. Does it work nicely in Australia?

So, as of now, how much have you made and how many clients have you gained (over what time frame)?

Interesting read so far!

I've gained 3 clients from this and have made $5688 revenue. (This is not just from ORM. Web design + SEO too) This has been over 3-4 months I believe.

At the moment I'm trying to figure out the best way to outsource the letter writing and warm calling. I'm looking to outsource the letter creation for the average leads and then focus my main attention on the good leads and doing those letters myself. The biggest issue I'm facing at the moment is postage costs. It costs me 60c per letter for postage here in Australia, it would cost me 91c per letter for postage if I were to outsource to India + the actual work cost.

I'm hoping to be able to find someone I can outsource to who can do 200 letters a week for around $100 - $200 including postage.

And how long have you been working on this?

And how long have you been working on this?

3 - 4 months. But don't take that as an indication of how effective the method is. I've been somewhat lazy with it thus far.

Are you actually calling back the people after you send out letters. Or just sitting it out and waiting?

I have an experienced salesman who is *supposed* to be calling them all back for me.. But I don't think he's done many call backs. Which is why I am switching my tactics up a bit.

I've mostly just been sitting back and waiting, and for those that do call me, I follow those ones up until I get a definite answer.
