A real bummer. Watched my Dad pass slowly ... gives you some time to reflect on your relationship and get anything you want to say, out there.
I can tell you regardless of her condition she can hear everything you say. I suggest you talk to her and let her know what is going on in your life and others. I know it may sound strange but the only means of communication I had with my Dad was his "big toe". Yes that is right ... he could answer yes and no questions to the very end.
Provide her with just enough pain meds to make her comfortable, keep a cool washcloth and some ice chips or vaseline for her lips which will make her comfortable.

My uncle died because of lung cancer more than a week ago, things happened so fast, we thought he's just having an asthma attack so we rushed him to the hospital only to find out he already had stage 4 lung cancer. It took only 3 days after we were informed about his disease when he left.

My Grandama was diagnosed with cancer a few months back and now she has recovered to the fullest.
Don't lose hope. Speak to the doctors, try to understand what kind of cancer it is and what is the stage of the cancer. Sometimes early diagnosis can help in controlling and eliminating the cancer completely.
Science and technology have really advanced and sometimes if you are at the right place at the right time then things do work.
Just get her the right treatment and leave the rest to God.
I hope this new year will bring new hope, health and happiness in your life.

Pal, stay strong. The hardest thing I have gone through in my life is loosing my mom and I know how you felling right now. My prayers for your mom & I sincerely hope a miracle happens for you. God Bless!

My mom transitioned last year. I was haaaaarrrd to hear her go. I didn't take the opportunity to be there because I believed she would stay here with us. I live with the regret and deep sadness that I was not there. It's hard but be there when she passes. My mom and I talked almost everyday so it's hard when I think of calling her and then remember I can't. I know my mother is here with me everyday, she is my soulmate. Know that she is here in spirit and if you need her your mom just say so, talk to her in your dreams without grief and you will experience something wonderful.
May you find peace in knowing her soul lives.

Hi my friend. There are some situations in life in which I find difficult to find the proper words. I wish you the best for your mom. And especially if she is young don't lose your hope whatever the doctors may say.
