"My Journey" Journals

Just wondering what you think the benefits of writing a journal on BHW are as opposed to documenting your efforts in a guide or blog you could later capitalize on instead. I know that there are a lot of wonderful posters on this forum, but I'm about to begin my journey into an authority site and need to know if the energy I spend writing about it would be better spent converting this experience into something like an eBook.

Do any of you guys regret starting a journal here instead of trying to market your tactics as a product, or do you feel like the feedback from other members is more valuable than what you might potentially gain in sales?
