So I just made an instagram account in the motorcycle niche.
followers: 40
following 128
I've uploaded 2 pictures one has 22 likes and the other 25, a few are from the hashtags most likely.
I am manually going on others pages photos and picking out real people from the likes (you can tell which are the bots/ other bike pages)
I currently don't know how I want to monetize the page once it gets big, but I might start a youtube channel since I myself ride and can use it for traffic.
I'm going to keep on reading here for more tips and information on ways to monetize since its been a while i've logged in here and insta has changed since then.

My friend has an instagram page on watches, wines and bikes. He says bikes gets the most likes because everyone fancies the bike that they don't own.

Yeah my following went up to 60 and I have 43 likes in the most recent post I put yesterday
I've also noticed everyone in the community is pretty close because I uploaded a pic of a bike and they tagged the owner lol I Edited and tagged her in it

you can use dropshipping to make money, publish tools for cyclists at a good price.

Awesome! I'll be following along. Don't even think about monetization yet. I prefer the 100K range to start monetizing, but some people go in at 10K even though they won't make much money. I think long term about the healthiness of my accounts. You can monetize and advertise your channel if you'd like, but me personally, I'd only do one or the other for the sake of a healthy account.

Yeah I've been reading people use shopify here a lot or shoutouts. I have never messed with shopify. I'm still doing more reading on here to see how to incorporate it

Yeah I'm not going to jump into monetization quickly I'm more interested in gaining followers and engagement

You don't have any plan for the moment ?
to monetize no besides the obvious shout outs, but I am going to use it to send to my youtube once I have enough followers.

100k followers before monetizing? That's ridiculous, you're leaving alot of money on the table if you actually wait that long. And you can actually make quite alot of money from an account with only 5k followers on it. It's not about followers count, it's about your engagement score. I personally throw links in all my accounts after 1k followers, and begin seeing money within the first few days of adding a link. I would never advise anyone that they should wait till 100k before trying to monetize their account. You never know what the future holds when it comes to social media marketing, you may not even have the option to try and throw a link in your bio by the time your reach 100k.. or possibly even get your account banned before reaching that number.

You're right. I also should mention that I work with personal brand accounts. Now if I was in a micro-niche, it would be a different story.

Followers: 110
Following: 354
Likes: around 50 per post (4 in total) one has 74

I haven't been following a lot since I get lazy picking out the ppl through other pages but I'm gonna step it up.

update:
followers: 465
following: 1300
engagement around 35%

I uploaded a video on my youtube related to it and linked it on my bio saying watch this. I put a google short link to track how many ppl actually click it.
I also started using gmt and got that 1 year aws amazon vps. The gmt bot is taking forever to scrap followers tho and I removed the scraping safety on advanced setting and everything but it's taking forever to scrape still. I have it on users followers
