Youtube and blogging are what I believe the best methods for making money online. Offcourse when we stay white hat. I have tried blogging before. But I'm not that good of a writer. I did make a few bucks, but the hosting and domain costs are way higher than what I earned. It's too hard for me to continue. I really don't like writing.
So I went with option 2 Youtube. No startup costs except for the equipment that I already owned for photography. This youtube thing is so much easier for me. My videos are very simple and not hard to make. I can make a week worth of videos in one single day and be done with it.
But just like with blogging you have to be patient and persist on continuing making vids. If you leave the youtube SEO aside you can see a very easy pattern.
More vids -> more views -> more subs -> more watch time -> higher ranking.
I know that my growth is not exceptional, it's actually very slow. But I'm glad with what I achieved so far. Making vids in english is very hard for me and when I look back at my first video I can see a very big improvement.
There's one video that really helped me out with motivating myself. This vid is called "The Truth About Youtube Money" by McJuggerBuggets (known from the psycho series). If you want me to link the vid, just let me know.
In this video there was one sentence that sticked and made me persist! "IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY ON YOUTUBE, YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT YOUR JOB". This sentence sticks with me every time I'm not so in the mood to start recording.
So enough with the talk, let's get to the core. The past month I uploaded 45 videos. Here is the result.
I have a lot of vids around 1 minute.
What I think I need too improve for the next month:
- Upload 2 vids a day
- Make them longer for more watch-time
- Improve my english voice
