My first media buy...

I dont expect to make a dime. If I do awesome!.. this is just a test and experience of going through the process.

I also want to mention that I did absolutely ZERO research. I just wanted to physically go through the process of doing it to see what its about.

I kinda have an itch to be successful. I think I am going to do a little research and see if I can find a nice method/workflow.

I dont expect to make a penny on this campaign. But its kinda like the lotto.. Im curious to see if I will win something at the end.

Does clickbank list an EPC?

That would give you the conversion rate if you work backwards

Conversion rate * price = EPC

If you dont get any clicks by 1000 impressions , change the verticals/banners

This is a great little experiment. $40 isn't too much of an investment and it could pay off in a big way.

hang in there mate, like you said, it's only $40, and you are less than $1 into it right?

I have to respectfully disagree with this comment. No offense to the b0u4bD4 but this is bad advice, and the data to show is below.

HOUR | IMPRESSION BID | IMPRESSION WON | CLICKS | CTR

hours.png
That is an Hour by Hour chart. let's say i ran my campaign at 8:00 (EST) which is equal to 20:00. It shows a .09% CTR, a .09% CTR means that within 1,000 impressions I got > 1 click.

Now skip to hour 16:00, which would be 4:00 (EST). It shows a .49% CTR during that hour.

That would of sucked if I threw that banner away because of hour 20:00 right?

Changing the banner would totally screw up my data.

I used their banner. It's really nice.

The one I edited. As stated in previous post I put DOMAIN special on the one banner. I think wasted suggested to do that for each specific site.

at OP: Just remember that while the original banner may be nice, sometimes the ugly banners do really well, since they stick out so much and don't look like straight advertisement! Just some advice for future banners, but a good CTR rate for banners is 0.1 %. 10,000 impressions should be a safe call to switch banners, if the original isn't doing well.

Ok so til now I had 2 images up. One image had the publishers brand name in it and the other didnt. I decided to add additional images. In fact this is probably what everyone should do. Upload maybe 5-10 images pr ad and see which one has the best results.

(publisher exclusive)
GRAPHIC BANNER DESIGN 1

(normal ad without publishers name on it)
GRAPHIC BANNER DESIGN 1

I decided to add two more images. This image is more on the wtf, weird or funny spectrum. If you knew the niche you would laugh. Its not offensive just funny. I am doing the same as above.

(publisher exclusive)
GRAPHIC BANNER DESIGN 2

(normal ad without publishers name on it)
GRAPHIC BANNER DESIGN 3

So now I have two designs and two versions of each design.
