Well I thought I would just dip my toes in the water a bit here. I found a decent product and sales page of CB. I went to buysellads.com and found a site that fits the same niche.

I purchased the main 300x250 spot. at $1 per 1000 impressions. I am doing a split testing with two images. One image is a (sitename special) and the other one is just a regular ad which the CB seller supplied.

I only purchased 20,000 impressions each. Like I said I am only dipping my toes in this just to see what happens. I dont mind blowing the $40 if that ends up happening.

The CB product has a really nice payout $35 per sale with a refund rate of .22%

Ill post all my numbers, charts etc once its over.

Good luck mate , if you are directly linking to the sales page I would suggest you to use a landing page. I am also trying to get into media buying and will keep an eye on your thread.

Good luck ! For CB products i would use a landing page, to presell the user.
 
I am also trying this on buysellads, just a direct linking campaign to a dating offer. Good luck and lets see how we go..

The offer allows me to use their domain with my CB user name.

Example:
http://www.offer.com/ref=CBname

So I linked it to that.

They have an amazing landing/offer page so I went with that. I think pre selling this product would be a waste. I could be wrong and I plan on testing.


Question.

When buying ad space do you guys prefer impressions or monthly set payments?
 
Also.

Can publishers lie about impressions and visitors?

Can they just send botted traffic to their site to inflate impressions. If that's the case money will def be wasted.
