My failure...

Please do not get disappointed and never give up. There is competition in all fields. Use Google and search things like "How can a graphic designer market himself", etc and read many related marketing things and try newer way. Don't worry, be persistent.

Have you tried local businesses? map all the developments in your neighborhood or city and offer services to those who have a poor performance in social media but are in the process of building them.
Schools and car insurance companies, for example... a hamburger is legal for occasional jobs because they often won't have the resources to invest in you.
Detail: knowing the basics of social media can be a differentiator to add your work.
you are really good but the event sector in this pandemic is really complicated.

Hey man, I had a look at your portfolio, and you're doing great work!
I've been a designer for over 4 years now, and I've faced what you're facing too. Finding regular work is just rare unless you put in time to market your skills.

Try to get repeat business from past clients, and ALWAYS ask for referrals.

I'd suggest trying reddit, and also finding a niche, and learning new stuff (apply your skills in different niches).

I've learnt that a portfolio is only as good as the worst piece in it.
Cut out some of your older work, redesign the website if possible, and post more often in more places.

It only gets harder before it gets easier man, hope you feel better soon.

Hi guys I am very disappointing. I think I am a good graphic designer but I can't find regular work... What can I do? I am trying upwork and facebook groups but I don't have luck. Any advice?
This is my portfolio www.juanluisfigueroa.ga
Thanks in advance

There very less amount of people who has luck.
Starters are very uncommon within them. What you need to do is grow skills and make yourself of great quality then hp into a marketplace for your niche then stick to it.
If you do you will see the next steps yourself. :)

Thank you very much for all your advices!!! I am trying Fiverr and pph now :)

Is graphicriver a legit marketplace?

Why not offer your services here? Your potential clients are right just in front of you.

Try to market your site directly, instead of third party websites like fiverr and pph. Try to lock and have repeat customers, when you have your repeating customers you can find other and grow like that, I guess in this field, people don't need only one design but many over time. Be the go to guy for your repeat customers

AND find a niche you target. Your work is great, I am not a good designer and I find your website very beautiful but... there is 10000000 amazing graphic designers so you have to be THE guy for one segment of graphic design. What do you want to specialise in ? sports graphic design? Music graphic design? Just ideas I have on top of my mind. You will find much more easy to focus on one segment instead of all.

+ in these fields, marketing is what sets you apart from competition, because there are 10000 great graphic designers and the best one will not be the most prolific, the most prolific will be the one with the best marketing and customer service, period.

Ask yourself which field you want to be the king, which graphic design niche?

If I tell you I want to do webdesign, it's the same... it's not enough, you must do a positioning for your offer that is DISTINCT from others. Being great is not enough and I am sure you are so it's not the problem :)

Why don't you create t-shirt designs? Upload them and see where it goes.

Why don't you create templates while you don't have clients, you can sell those on Envato

Try to extend your skill with online business, I think you have lots potential opp to get success. Ex. POD service.

I agree with Willy. I know places like Miami will always hire content creators like yourself to promote their events. I would try contacting random locations and see if you land a steady gig! Good luck!

Same problem, everyone and their grandma do this, without a strong positioning it's a lost cause.
