I bought 5 aged accounts (2018-2023)
I created 5 fresh accounts on 5 different phones (mobile proxies)
The aged accounts worked well for about 1-2 weeks. I would follow about 40-50 people a day and stopped around 200. Then I let the accounts sit for a while because I was going to use them to follow my main account. After one week (without doing any follow/post action) when I opened the IG app on the phone, it required human verification. All 5 accounts gone this way, not on the same day.
Created fresh accounts on phones that were factory reset, with mobile proxies. I did the same follow process. I warmed them up. After 2 weeks I was hit with the same suspension. I tried this having similar follower/following count, still suspension. I tried with post, suspension. I tried account with no post, again suspended.
Out of the 5 freshly created accounts, only 3 survived.
Out of the 5 aged accounts, none survived.
I added all the 3 surviving accounts on antidetect browser with fixed residential IPs. They are still up, so I guess the cheaper residential IPs are still good for IG.
One of the fresh IG accounts was suspended because I used susocial to follow about 98/day.
I am not 100% sure, but I believe posting plays a big role on the suspension. If I posted a picture that had multiple faces or a face different from profile picture, it would trigger a human verification in 1-3 days. Instead I posted pictures that included no people or faces. That would make the accounts survive more. Also bans happened if I posted, then started the follow process. I tried both manual follow and automated, didn't see any difference (both accounts banned).
I am trying to find a way to avoid this suspension. My next plan is to not follow accounts every day, but randomly.
If you have any suggestions let me know.
There are many factors that can trigger a suspension, and to test them all would require a lot of accounts and time.
