I bought 5 aged accounts (2018-2023)
I created 5 fresh accounts on 5 different phones (mobile proxies)

The aged accounts worked well for about 1-2 weeks. I would follow about 40-50 people a day and stopped around 200. Then I let the accounts sit for a while because I was going to use them to follow my main account. After one week (without doing any follow/post action) when I opened the IG app on the phone, it required human verification. All 5 accounts gone this way, not on the same day.

Created fresh accounts on phones that were factory reset, with mobile proxies. I did the same follow process. I warmed them up. After 2 weeks I was hit with the same suspension. I tried this having similar follower/following count, still suspension. I tried with post, suspension. I tried account with no post, again suspended.

Out of the 5 freshly created accounts, only 3 survived.
Out of the 5 aged accounts, none survived.

I added all the 3 surviving accounts on antidetect browser with fixed residential IPs. They are still up, so I guess the cheaper residential IPs are still good for IG.
One of the fresh IG accounts was suspended because I used susocial to follow about 98/day.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe posting plays a big role on the suspension. If I posted a picture that had multiple faces or a face different from profile picture, it would trigger a human verification in 1-3 days. Instead I posted pictures that included no people or faces. That would make the accounts survive more. Also bans happened if I posted, then started the follow process. I tried both manual follow and automated, didn't see any difference (both accounts banned).

I am trying to find a way to avoid this suspension. My next plan is to not follow accounts every day, but randomly.

If you have any suggestions let me know.

There are many factors that can trigger a suspension, and to test them all would require a lot of accounts and time.

There’s quite a few variables here.

Where are the mobile proxies located? Do the proxies change locations? How are you connecting to the proxies? What about your SIM card? What is the SIM card location?

How many phones are you using per profile? What is the operating system? What is the operating system version? Have obtained root on the phone?

What exactly were you doing? Just following

There’s a lot of ways for apps to track manipulative accounts and actions and link them. Anti detect browsers are not immune.

currently instagram is fucked up.

you can forget about everything that is written here on forums about warmups, limits, proxies etc

anyone who will give you bullshit suggestions about things mentioned - havent been working with instagram from August's update.

nothing of it will work if account isnt real and run on real device that have no tempering whatsoever - no proxies, real sim card etc.

You can try running experiments with emulated android devices, like Memu, LDPlayer and different emulators. sometimes i see they can work.

the emulators will increase the chances of triggering a suspension. I think IG has some kind of AI algorithm that sees if your account does actions that match those of a normal human.
The proxies were from real sim cards, different on each phone. One account per phone = 4 phones and 1 tablet (no root). Once 5 aged accounts banned, factory reset the phones and created 5 new accounts to test.

What’s your take on grapheneOS?

it should but thats not the case at all

it's not related to proxies

I am using grapheneOS with great success.

Apps know you are using a mobile proxy and that your account is manipulative if you are configuring the proxy’s use in the phone settings. Apps can and do scan your SIM card. They can also scan WiFi networks. They also know if the phone is being moved or if it is just sitting in a rack.

As you said it needs to be a real phone with a real SIM card that has been activated with a real network. If anything doesn’t match up to a real phone with a real person behind it you can expect a ban.

I am using mobile proxies over WiFi and hiding my home network. That’s how I am evading the ban while having 20+ accounts on one phone.

Funny enough my actual instagram accounts that I use on my computer and my personal phone (iOS) all got hit with suspension and identity confirmation all at the same time and an accusation from instagram that I had been breaking rules with at least one account. So all accounts were connected as being the same entity and suspended.

I was not doing anything wrong. I was using them like a real person and a real business. I guess because all three accounts were being logged into from the same device and linked together. Instagram has become very oppressive in this sense of accusation and demand for proof of identity.

GrapheneOS prevents that because apps can’t scan outside of the containerized environment and link your accounts together. As long as you’re not giving them other signals that the account is manipulative, I haven’t had any problems there. YET anyway.

Since August, there is very few things that works to some extent. I don't think that posting it on a public forum would help as well.

Yes, graphene worth trying, I wonder, can it be automated?

I think they evolved to detect almost 100% non-human interaction + they combine it with some other things hardware/software binding related. They had some things they didn't care that much before, then they started to care all of a sudden.

For example I am still able to create loads of accounts, same success % as before August, but they are very sensitive at the very first login in another device if they login with another network/proxy type than the one it was created.

Abnormal numbers: followings > followers, more likes/comments than average norm etc. they become very flagging and more prone to verify those accounts.

I have unbanned almost 20k accounts since August, with a 70-80% success rate, rest were perma ban + video selfies which are bans as well. What I observed is that the more expensive the phone number was that I verified the accounts (translates in the less abused the network was), the higher chance for the account to be unbanned.

The unban didn't guarantee a future ban proof!

I am in this space since 2018-2019 (not that old, I know there are here smarter people and older in this space, less willing to be upfront) and I can't recall an update of this scale that it was reversed.

The ones stronger enough to remain in this space it will be very rewarded other than that, the entry price is close impossible at this moment if you don't have double digits to spend or highly experienced people.

Resting your accounts without activity killed them because silence followed by action trips security flags; keep them scrolling to show a pulse. Sticking to faceless images is smart to avoid biometric checks, and since residential IPs are working, your mobile proxies are likely dirty, so stick with residential and keep follows under 20 daily.

Edit: this is why I also hate Instagram changing API like they change diapers. Not sustainable to work with in my opinion.

Real sim card with data inserted on the phone, wifi disabled.

yep, I remember when it was so easy back in the day, I would follow 800 people a day lol.

I need to look into graphene since I got zero experience with it. How do you unban them when they require a video selfie or a picture selfie (when logged from pc). I tried some photoshop but it didn't work. They disabled my accounts permanently.

Automations on android are detected. I don’t know of another way currently to automate apps on android.

Graphene is great it just sucks you need a pixel. AND only phones that came directly from Google can have the boot loader unlocked. So if you are going to buy one be sure the seller has checked for this.

Real sim card with data inserted on the phone, wifi disabled.

This is likely your biggest issue. Apps can scan your sim card and if you are using proxy or VPN apps can scan all of that as well. They are detecting that this is not real most likely.

As of now you need a real SIM card that has been activated on a real network in the phone physically. Apps arent supposed to be able to scan sim data but they are.

Both of my pixels have SIM cards that have been activated this year from T-Mobile in the United States. Neither of them have service but that doesn’t seem to matter. After I got them activated with service I got that SIM card deactivated and service transferred to another pixel, then to an iPhone I use for answering customer service stuff.

I suspect the OEM unlock in Settings should not be greyed out?!?
That’s right. That’s what I meant by bootloader unlock. It’s been about 8 months since I installed graphene and my memory is a little rusty.

It will be greyed out if the phone wasn’t sold directly by Google.

Mass follow styles, fresh setups and mismatched posts all get flagged. If you want accounts to last use them slowly and naturally instead of trying to warm them up with follow actions.

Look into 4G proxy rotation and App Cloner when logging into the accounts. In addition, IP rotation after each login.

what kind of app do u use on graphene to connect via proxy? are u using mobiler or ISP proxy?

New accounts often get flagged regardless of warm up style, so stability usually comes from giving them long idle periods before any activity.
