My DA Dropped by 10 Over Night

Out of nowhere, I was working on my site this morning and the DA dropped by 10 for yesterday.

All my rankings dropped by 5-8 spots too. My traffic cut in half.

What the hell happened?

Why don't you track TF And Ahrefs DR instead?

DA didn't just drop. All my rankings dropped by 5-8 spots. My traffic cut in half.

The correlation between DA drop and traffic.

I think there is a google update on the way, my rankings dropped overnight around 5 spots too.

I know they aren't correlated. I am just stating what happened in hopes for a reason. Yeah, yesterday and a DA of 30 and first place for many long tail keywords. Today a DA of 20 with 4-5th place
 
The only way it can be related is that you lost links (or your links lost their links) which lead to loss of traffic and loss of DA.

If you did not lose links then that these two events might be not related.
 
Wtf guys you are telling,from when changes at some third party metrics cause also to drop traffic on your website.Or im wrong?If im wrong then there will be huge buy to Moz from Google.This is only explanation not just in OP case but a lot of websites which I run checks.
 
Google started algorithm changes since later half of Feb. Several websites lost SERP positions. I guess they have been continuously making changes. But DA drop must be because you lost links.

Check if you have lost major chunk of your links overnight, or if there are any manual actions in Google webmaster tools.
 
My DA increased by 5 and my friend's DA went from 56 to 74. He's so happy right now hahahha
 
Rankings have been fluctuating a lot for the past week. For my local seo clients that lost rankings, it seems to be based on over optimized anchor text ratio.
 
Just a backlink spam check and create a disavow link.
Maybe google just indexed some spammy backlink you created a while back.
or one of your referring domain has just become spammy.
do a spam check.
