The OP is a perfect example of being more academic than educated.
Save your mommy and daddy's money, see the world and get a real education.
There aren't enough statistics to hide your ignorance or ungratefulness behind.
I have been in some of the worst places in the world at their worst times (Afghanistan, Bosnia, currently writing from Iraq for the 2nd time) and fantastic places throughout Europe and South America. As many others in posts above mine are trying to tell you, you have it pretty damned good.
Be grateful, quit your whining, and be a part of the solutions rather than running from the challenges.
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
Ummm, wow. Please guys, read the whole thread. Just about everything you said CrabbyCommando, doesn't make sense. At all.
"The OP is a perfect example of being more academic than educated." First of all, I will defend statistics because ANYTHING, ANYTHING that you have ever done has been a statistic of some sort. For instance, just for visiting this site such "Statistics" such as bounce rate, pages/view, average time on site, and etc. etc. I'm sure have been recorded. Statistics is what make the world go 'round.
Secondly, how else am I supposed to present myself? Theories? Well those things are just heresay. Just blurt out random shit? Yes, I realize statistics aren't everything, but there
something.
And, "Save your mommy and daddy's money." I moved out of my house the day I was 18, still in high school and started my own business. The business was dropshipping, was making enough to 'live,' but realized how much money there was in the internet marketing biz. Couldn't be happier. Oh, and PS, when I turned 12, my dad said if I ever wanted anything I needed a job.
A little more on this: Instead of spending the night over at my friends house, at age 12, I spent my summers from about 8AM - 2PM picking blueberries. By age 14 my dad opened a TDameritrade for me which I actually seen some success. And now, on top of going to school, running my own business, I intern for one of the bigger management consulting firms in the country.
You state, "There aren't enough statistics to hide your ignorance or ungratefulness." If you read the whole thread, you'll realize that although I realize I have life "pretty damn good," I want to help others that aren't quite as lucky as I am. In an above post I've pledged to die a person that has legitamitely helped hopefully millions of people. Is that really so "ignorant" and "ungrateful"?
