My company resells several software vendors, most of which have multiple products - over 20 vendors and over 100 total products. As is the norm in software, there are frequent changes – new products, changes of product names and/or logos, etc., and, of course, the need to regularly refresh content to keep SERP happy.

I am a one-person marketing department, so time is precious, but everything from content creation to SWAG design falls to me. The more pages I have, the harder it is to keep content up-to-date and refreshed often, but I want the best SEO/search results possible.

With the recent changes in Google, AI, etc., how much is the gain in SEO if I have a landing page for every vendor AND a landing page for every product vs having the vendor/products on the same page?

how much is the gain in SEO
this gain is nearly impossible to quantify. Just focus on doing the best SEO you can do for a 1-man army and when you get enough money outsource and scale up using automation / VAs

To your question... make each vendor page a category page, and each software page a landing page for that specific product. It's a lot of work, I know, but that's the best silo you can have for that type of niche, so blame it on google that they force behaviours on people.

But to be honest, in this particular case, this type of organizing (siloing) your site is great because it's intuitive and clean, so....

You already know the SEO has better chances if you've got separate pages per program, but it's up to adding in automation where you can to keep up or tabling it for later when you have the resources.

But it shouldn't be that much harder to keep vendor and software pages updated than vendor pages with all the software information, unless you're building all these pages with manual html or something?
