Moz bar checking PA and DA on websites

Hello, this might be a stupid quesion, but here goes...

Is the MOZ Pa and Da ranking there own score like Alexa? or do the rankings come from some where else?

For Example: Is the PA and DA that MoZ shows based on the amount of people that have the MoZ tool bar installed in there browser? like Alexa does.

Yep, believe it or not.

If you really care about your DA and PA so much, Moz has explained what you can do to improve the scores.
 
Purely made up and developed by Moz, but in a way still relevant to understand how well your site is performing.
 
Metrics are nice but focus should be on your backlink profile
 
Don't get too hung on DA and PA, if you check sites for positions, it doesn't naturally mean the best DA and PA will be in better positions. Its an overall metric which some, feel has little value. Others look at Trustflow and Citationflow as other forms of metrics.

I know everyone means well. But businesses dont care about your backlink profile. I guess the new question is... Which ranking is most trusted? and probably an entirely different question is... Which one do businesses use the most?

Which ranking is the most trusted? Well, the only ranking that matters. Which is your rank in Google. Everything else is just a way to achieve it.

And regarding the most trusted metrics, then those are ones from Majestic or Ahrefs. Still, they are just metrics.
