In theory, if you can add custom banner to your signature space, you could track views.

It is blocked because you can only upload the media here, and as far as I know, BBcode doesn't support js.

In theory you could upload an image hosted on your own site and track requests. Wouldn't need JS

I mean custom image link, where you generate banner or track hits on your server, I had this idea few months back

Profile views once showed but it got hidden some years ago, was a nice feature I am sure they could restore if they chose to.

On a serious note, you are technically supposed to upload the sig image as media to BHW.

Yeah I guess it wouldnt work anymore, havent checked if its possible to add any custom images now. I had an idea to track from which subforum image is requested(by the referrer) and by that, it would be possible to determine viewers' interests. And thus update the banner content with correct message.

Wouldnt need it to be in the URL, just the thread ID. Anyhow, the idea was to make better targeting, nothing malicious.
