In theory you could upload an image hosted on your own site and track requests. Wouldn't need JS

Yeah I guess it wouldnt work anymore, havent checked if its possible to add any custom images now. I had an idea to track from which subforum image is requested(by the referrer) and by that, it would be possible to determine viewers' interests. And thus update the banner content with correct message.

Wouldnt need it to be in the URL, just the thread ID. Anyhow, the idea was to make better targeting, nothing malicious.
