more than 35.000 Backlinks in 8 month...?

hi,

first... english is not my native language, so please forgive me, if my written english is full of errors.

question:
I know a seo-company here in germany and they established 8 month ago. Yesterday i checked their position on google and saw, they are in the Top #5 for the keywords "SEO" and "Suchmaschinenoptimierung" (german word for Search engine optimization). i said WOW!
After checking i noticed that they have mor than 35.000 backlinks...

How do they do that? I thought, that if the grow of the backlinks is to fast, google will ban you??

They are a seo company... So I think they have enough staff to do linkbuilding, directory submissions etc... Or they can outsource the works...

... for sure they do outsourcing the linkbuilding etc. but my question was how could they do that so fast without a google-ban?

35.000 backlinks in 8 month, that's 150 backlinks a day...

150 a day all depends on the site. 35,000 in a month is spam worthy, but 35,000 in 8 months for a quality website isn't considered spam.

It helps to be foreign though since Google's main ANTI-SPAM team focuses on the english sites.

I had about 30,000 backlinks to one of my websites within the first 4 months of launch and didn't get banned by google. I think thats just another myth.

for a non-english site it's easier...

.... ok i understand, so if the site is a qualitiy site it's no problem to get the links so fast...!

to rob472:

could you explane how you get 30.000 backlinks in 4 month...

is it true, that you can get the links from all over teh world? I had a phone call with the seo company and they told me, that they have a partnership now with russian seo's and they could get now many links from high PR russian gov. sites.

They might have done it gradually. From 10 to 20 to 30 a day and etc.
Is .gov links really that big of a deal, compared to a link from a high pr page.
