I came across some doubts while creating facebook groups. From what I read it's best to wait the groups to have several members to start monetizing them. But the question is will the previous members see the posts in the group? In my case with my personal account I've joined quite a lot of groups and never checked them again lol . And I rarely see in the news feeds about the groups except for 'someone and 12 more of your friends have joined this group' but do the wall posts or the discussion threads go to the feed?

No the posts do not go to the main feed. I do not understand why people do Facebook groups at all when Fan Pages exist, which do hit the feed, which do not have an invite limit, which show up in friend suggestions.. The list goes on and on.

Fan Pages > Groups.

the posts do not go to the main feed.. but heres a nice method to make $$$

make up a procedure for the members to achieve something.. For example get xxx GF points with Mafia Wars.. or Secret App to get notifications when someone views your profile.

step1.. invite 20 friends
step2.. fill in this offer.. (cpa offer)
step3.. go to this app.. (here u add your own app on facebook.. a fake app filled with ADS.. ads you place and some network pays you for every click.. )
step4.. ur done.. now you will get xx mafia wars GF points. or whatever.. :)

u promote ur group with facebook accounts.. 5k friends each..
you share the link to the group and u make it popular developing a discussion, using "like" etc with the other facebook accounts.. u do that to make ur group appear in news feed..

this is for creating a new group.. if u already have a group.. u can message ur members offering them some free shit.. (cpa offers) .. but u can do that if ur group is smaller than 5k members..

You got a point there. But with fan pages can you message the members when they are less than 5,000? Also I don't know if people will join a fan page that isn't actually a fan page (for instance a fan page like 'I don't like to be woken up early on sathurdays' you're not really adressing to fans unless you call it 'fans of fast sleep on sathurdays' )

@hazard_mkd: Thanks for the ideas! I was going to get into applications later after reading sensationalist crappage thoroughly. At the moment I'm trying to follow the steps oulined in the ebook that I attached. EDIT: For some reason I can't attach files, so I uploaded it to mediafire

Yea, I thought the Fan pages were going to ace out the Groups, remember how popular the groups used to be... I think introducing the "Pages" was a move by Facebook to become more socially networked and have something that would utilise their username feature.

Did anyone try promoting Antivirus products from CJ through Facebook?
