Hello all,
First of all, i'am not promoting my application or anything like that, i just want some advice on how can i monetize this.
i have an google chrome extension which gets nearly 2k unique visits per day.

I can't post the link here bcz i am a new member here.
It is a extension which pops up with codes of meme emoticons which can be used in chat

What methods of monetization can i try?

I've tried monetizing it by adsense, but it makes the extension heavy and it doesn't gets loaded on everyone's computer.
what technique should i go for?

If It's as good as you say, just charge for it. I recently paid I think 50 cents for an extension. Put a price on it and see what happens.

I'll provide you the solution which wouldn't make your extension heavy. all what you need to do is only add one additional line in code. btw, using google adsense in browser extensions violates Google's policy, be careful

The common options of asking for donations or charging for add-on simply don't work for 99% of developers.

If you're not earning at least $2-3k monthly for 100k chrome extension users, you're not getting paid enough. Banner, coupon, affiliate link injects don't work well, PM me if you want to know what we have.

The best way to monetize chrome extension is tweakbar, they have several very profitable in-house monetization methods, which are work good.

Why afflinks injects don't work well ?
100k chrome extension users = 50k-60k active users per day = $4k-$6k (depends on location users), i think this good result, or not ?

Unfortunately, affiliates are not sustainable on the long term for chrome extensions/chrome apps, because they tend to report violations of their terms and conditions. For example, amazon (the best affiliate program out-there) will ban you permanently in a matter of days if they see you are sending them visitors from browser extensions/apps.

Also, the most so called "monetisation alternatives" are either sure ways to be banned by google webstore, either "businesses" that appears and disappears overnight.

There are companies on the market which specialize on addon monetization. What they do is providing you JS code, which you implemenn in your extension, and once done it starts generating $ for you. Of course there are tricks you should know while working with different browsers and there are differences for running monetizing solutions in Chrome and Mozilla for example. I know how to make money without any harm to your userbase,so if you still need any assistance - write me on skype yevgen.kapinus
