I just gave this a try and must say - well done man.
It's not at a point where I would switch just yet, but I definitely admire the hustle and creativity - we need more members like you.

Half way through working on it I realised BHW 2.0 was on it's way so I kind of gave up (you can tell from the "half consolidated" scss lol), but if people are into it I'll work on a mod for the new CSS in the same vibe.
It's definitely more tricky when you don't have access to the html as well, so to replace any images etc you need to do some really unpleasant overrides, but after the new 2.0 BHW is up, I'll set up the SCSS properly with variables to make it easier for anyone else to mod their own style as well.

I tried my best to keep quite dark yellow on the mockup though.
