I run a sms marketing service where i help local business owners build a subscriber/loyal customer list. When you think about it just look around you all you see is people on cell phones and on tv a new phone seems to come out every other day and with that they are only getting better and are able to do more things!
Running contests i have also played with this where you have people text a keyword to a short code for a chance to win "whatever" and the response rate was very very nice
I love the idea of MM and i know first hand it works! I would never go the whole spam way with this cause i feel like its a waste of time unless you have a way to scale and blast 10s of thousands of messages at a time even though im sure the open rate is high but if someone doesnt know where or who the text is coming from most wont take action
but as with anything with spam its all a numbers game
NTM the read rate on sms is higher than anything ive ever seen. Let me jus ask you a question whens the last time you gota text and jus deleted it with out reading it first? and how many times have you deleted an email with out reading it?
and thats why aweber can kiss my ass MM all damn day

Count me in as well. It's always fun around this time of year when everyone gets together to show off their latest smartphones. First it was just the men and propeller heads. Our group has grown over the years. Feels like 1999 all over again.
