Migrating from ASP.net to WIX- Cons?

I have a client who is currently hoping to move his 22 page website from asp.net to Wix and I'm terrified to let him flip the switch.

He says that his lackluster webmaster doesn't implement changes anywhere near the timetable he would like them implemented. I'm inclined to agree with him.

To remedy this he was hoping to move to wix so that he could make changes as he wants to.

My concern is that this would tank his already falling SEO, as he is competing - and losing - in a space with tons of short term rental aggregate sites (think VRBO).

What do you guys think?

One question - why wix? You can't rebuild on wordpress and have full control?

Could do it on wordpress but this client is particularly fond of Wix. I suppose that would solve the problem of SEO issues, as wordpress is fine, though I don't know what the buy in would be. If people think that Wix isn't risky then I'd be inclined to just do that.

Well wix has "visual builder", you can probably go with Divi builder / Visual composer or something like that for wordpress so he can use it and make changes alone.

Wix used to be flash so total crap for SEO. Seems they changed to html, but have not looked at it in detail.

Check it out if you can't make the case for WordPress

Mate, go with wordpress.
There are a lot of option to choose

WIX is something that is not offer the SEO friendliness, for SEO friendliness you have to talk to the wix admin but again problem exists, so better go with the WordPress.

Do you know how to remove Wix ads in their HTML code?
