Microsoft Warns Windows 10 Update Has A Serious Problem

yep turned off that auto update. hated that threat of you need to schedule a re start crap. after that didnt freeze again. who knows what the hell they are putting in there

Oh, i tried that many times. The funny thing was that windows wouldn't even let me update. Everytime i turned off the computer there was the "Update & Shut off" Button, but when i clicked it, it downloaded the update and when i turned on the computer the next day and the update was going to unpack itself on the start an error came "Windows update unsucessful"
Have you tried shutting down the computer physically (with the button) and hittng F8/Shift+F8 (or whatever it is now) to enter safe mode and work from there? I'd imagine if you can do a system restore to an earlier point before you had the problem, you could monitor your computer to find out what caused the problem.

Don't think all the issues are related to win10. some of my softwares that worked with win 7 no longer working well in win 10 and the software dev haven't been doing good in providing updated versions too. about the taskbar/start menu frozen issue- im facing it too. had to retart the PC to get it to wok everytime. Hope they will fix this mess asap.

Yes i have also tried that. The system restore doesn't work for some reason. It always says that the restore could not finish. However i fixed the problem 2 months ago with formatting everything. The same thing happened to me 1 Month ago again tho. This time i could fix it with a WindowsPowerShell command.
Thanks for the advice.

They have admitted they have no idea how to fix it and are saying you should reverse the update, they should've stayed with 8.1. Thousands are complaining about it

you must be always suspicious if the update is free :)

Last months updates screw my email (Outlook) up. Eventually it came out that MS wiped out the data files. I told the MS Tech that I would be shutting off all the updates, OS, applications - all. He had the audacity to tell me that MS was just looking out for me. I told him BS and moved on. I refused the W10 downgrade and stayed with W8.1 and Classic Shell. When MS decided to move to an all or nothing update each month, MS convinced me that the Windows update were just another vector of malware. All updates are now off on a permanent basis.
