Microsoft Warns Windows 10 Update Has A Serious Problem

And so the case to shut off updates.... The case against forced updates.

Yesterday I got force updated. Booted up my PC and it fucked everything up.

Everything was super small and all my desktop shortcuts disorganized.

It was easy to fix the size problem but nothing I can do about the shortcuts.

A little annoyed. :)

Windows 10 definitely has a ton of flaws since it was launched. This latest one is no surprise to me at all. I will stick to 7 for as long as I am able.

All last updates where pretty shitty if you ask me. The issue I have been facing was that I got invalid handle at the login screen and I had to reboot windows several times before actually being able to log in. I had to reinstall everything. Good thing I am only running it via mac through parallels :(

With each passing day, my hatred for Windows 10 grows more and more. It didn't bother me initially, in fact I liked it a bit; but between the broken updates and the lack of any real benefit behind Windows 10, I'm beginning to consider switching back to Windows 8.1 or 7. I already had to do that with my laptop because Windows 10 rendered it mostly unusable.

I think it will take a long time until any Microsoft OS will beat the performance and stability of Windows 7. Seeing as how 8 and 10 are complete failures so far.

8.1 actually wasn't too bad. It wasn't as good as Windows 7, but it's far better than Windows 10.

I always thought 8 looked like a mobile phone OS. It was a huge jump from the traditional Windows interface for sure.

after i updated my windows 10, the start up screen (when you turn on the pc / laptop) turned into just a black screen with a loading button. other than that, everything is working fine.

also i think windows 10 is better than windows 7 because of the updates, it helps boost more performance to the computer.

Yeah, 8 had that mobile phone tile GUI that I didn't like, although in Windows 8.1, they brought back the traditional look. However, when you clicked the start button, it would take you to the tile interface.

I don't know if anyone of you already had this but it happened 2 times since i own Windows 10. If i would turn on my computer the taskbar is unclickable and Cortana + Searchbar and windows startup does not work. On top of all that, all my apps dissappeared. I have to go through a lot of steps to get it fixed again , took me a good 4 -6 hours and it already happened 2 times

windows 10 is sh*t and skylake fked me up. It just runs with Windows 10 LOL

That unresponsive taskbar happened to me last month. If I recall correctly, hitting the Windows key and restarting the computer would temporarily fix the issue. The issue eventually sorted itself out permanently after an update.

That is odd, i have a few computers running Win 10 but never had any issue.

In fact, it is my favourite win OS for now.

Hmm. I'm loving macOS Sierra. Siri and I are getting closer than ever.

Oh, i tried that many times. The funny thing was that windows wouldn't even let me update. Everytime i turned off the computer there was the "Update & Shut off" Button, but when i clicked it, it downloaded the update and when i turned on the computer the next day and the update was going to unpack itself on the start an error came "Windows update unsucessful"
