Here?s a method I used a while ago. It?s been around and I can?t claim I?ve invented it, and don?t remember where I heard of it. I?ve used it successfully for a while then moved on to bigger, easier and more profitable things. You won?t get rich with it, but it can make you some decent money to start out in the cruel world of IM.

I will tell you about the method including movies just for the explanation sake, as an example. But if you have any sense for marketing at all, you'll be able to twist it using soon-to -be released music albums, Iphones, mobile phones, games, whatever you can monetize

Downside to this method ? you won?t be banking instantly. You?ll have to wait for a while, so if you need a quick buck better find something else and keep this as a sideproject. Or if you don't mind waiting a bit.

The best part of it is that it?s super easy. You don?t need some previous knowledge; you don?t need to be a passionate movie fan. You just need to be proficient in English, and able to perform a simple search on Google. And I?ll spoonfeed you the rest.
    Time frame:
? 1 day for creating the site and the social accounts, youtube videos and web2 properties
? Depending on your ambition, anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours daily for spamming movie sites
    - The search engine traffic will hit you a bit later, so you'll need to wait about 6 months after you create your sites.

Investment ? zero $, or if you want to speed things up 2-10$ per website for linkbuilding

Monetizing ? adsense or CPA offers (email submit) Use banners for CPA offers, you'll find them HERE ? no content locking in my experience it won?t work
    -THE METHOD ?
You can?t see the future, right?
    Wrong.
You can see what the upcoming movies are. They will be rising in the future, but now they aren?t so popular and there are few sites mentioning them, except for the official site (and sometimes even the official site doesn?t exist until a few weeks before the opening night.)
There?s your chance. Go to imdb.com and see what movies are coming in the next 6 months to one year. Choose a promising one, not too hype as this means fans are already making blogs about it. Just imagine what would happen if you had a blog about, let?s say Blair Witch Project before it went from obscurity to blockbuster. You?d have a headstart and everything posted after you wouldn?t be so successful.
Of course, after a while when the big players come, your site will drop a bit in SEO ranking, but you?ll still be on the front page which is still great.

1 - Let?s say you chose ?The Bridge of Spies?, a new Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks movie. This is just a suggestion, it may be a bit too hard for a beginner, but just for argument sake we?ll suppose we chose it. A quick google search and seaquake shows us that the competition for this is not so hard yet.

2 - When you choose a movie, make a blog on the blogger with the name of the movie, let?s say bridgeofspiesmovie.blogspot.com, or buy a domain and connect it to blogger.
Then do some basic seo, this won?t be too hard. Build 10 to web20 properties with 1-2 articles with links to your blog and a few weeks before the opening night blast some xrumer on them. You can find pretty cheap xrumer services and for 2 $ you can get 9K backlinks.
Buy some cheap PBN links from the appropriate section of this forum if you want the best results.

Don?t forget the onpage seo, create titles, subtitles, H1, h2, image descriptions with your keywords, submit and ping your site to search engines.

3 - Create a video on youtube with a link in the description and a link in the video overlay. Make sure you have ?trailer? in the title to attract the viewers (we assume that the real trailer won?t be out for a while). You can use some behind the scene footage and trivia about the actors, directors etc. Let the video look like a power point presentation. This ought to hit the front page for your search term really fast.
4 - Creata a facebook page, twitter account, instagram, pinterest board, a tumblr blog. Use addmefast to populate it to look legit. Then use ifttt.com to connect them to some news feed with the keyword ?bridge of the spies? as a trigger so every time the movie is mentioned the news gets published on your page-board-account or whatever. Manually add your site to the page-board-account. If you haven't used IFTTT yet google a little and find out how it's used.

5 - Create an account on imdb, rotten tomatoes, reddit (pay attention to comments on r/movies, it?s huge) and all movie forums you can find. You will need to do this only once.
Then follow them and spam your link there to drive traffic to your site. If you have 10 sites about 10 movies you?ll have enough material to work with.

To cut a long story short here's what to do:
    - Make a blogspot or self hosted site about a movie or some upcoming gadget, music album or game
    - Do some SEO for it, which won't be hard as the search term isn't too hot yet, but it will be - this will bring in valuable SEO traffic
    - Wait until a few weeks before the opening night or the release of the game and start spamming forums, facebook groups and reddit subreddits with a link to your site. This will bring in targeted direct traffic
    - Watch the money flow in

    Hope this helps someone.

Great method. I guess blogger.com won't rank very well?
Are you gonna do SEO 6 month before or when are you gonna do it?

Blogger deffinatelly will rank. I had 2 blogs for upcoming movies which ranked top 3 for weeks. Then I stopped updating them, that's another thing I forgot to mention. Don't stop even after the movie is forgotten. Post anything related.
OFC, you do seo around 6 months prior to the release. Then when the movie is released you already have your ace up a sleeve.

I have done it with upcoming games and it is work perfectly, also you can go a bit black-hat, what you can do is use content locking and make button with download titles "Download "Name of movie" full film story", fake file size and file extension or use zip file. Create pdf or mp4 with story of movie, how they filmed it, where etc. Generally visitors should think that they download full movie, but your title say's that it is movie/film story, not a actual movie. With this trick you can get paid from CPA companies with no problem and you can make extra money before movie is up.

The method works like a charm I have used it numerous times over the years with different niches like tv series, games(releasing a game crack before the game is out yet) and movies but instead of blogspot blogs i used various web 2.0s like fb pages/youtube vids as parasites(just found em easier to rank).

If someone is looking for upcoming releases here is a small list that might help you out.

Here is another interesting one for upcoming mobile apps - http://www.preapps.com/ could be useful for ranking stuff like "game name" - Money Generator or Hack. Not sure how many of those will get good publicity and lots of installs but with some luck you might be the first to promote cheats for the next clash of clans :)

How come content locking didn't work for you?

This question comes from reading a post by Ian Fernando on content locking.

I really don't know about content locking. Somehow people didn't find my content attractive enough to complete an offer. And later on I found out that my CPA company was shaving really hard, I asked people to complete the offers and let me know. They didn't count them at all.
So maybe you'll be able to pull it off, honestly I'm not sure.

*** These statements below were overly critical of a good idea. If you like it - pursue it and you may also achieve similar success to Worm99 ***

7 years in this niche, and I'll just call BS. Here for example is what ranks for a popular movie that came out last weekend ...

    MovieBS.jpg

I wish that graphic was bigger. For clarity though it depicts page 1 of google for the search query "watch get hard full movie online free" a common search term in this niche related to a movie that came out last Friday. It shows 193 Million results, and the ones on page one will all likely be different by this time tomorrow. This isn't a niche people spend six months preparing for, and then go spamming forums with. Seriously spam a forum telling people where they can download a movie? Certainly they've never seen that before.

This is a niche dominated by a small handful of guys who have properly automated their front and back-ends. The only thing you will be doing approaching this niche in this manner is wasting 6 months of your life. You can't manually compete with this level of constantly changing search results. No one website or player has a monopoly on this - and the results for every other movie query you can do are going to show you the same exact points ... page 1 search results on google for the watch/download movies niche dance all day every day!

I used to make a whole lot of money with this years ago. The niche is solid, but I'd bet Zuckerberg's stock options this works a whole lot better as an April Fool's Day prank than an actual working model/method. Work for six months to SEO an un-SEO-able niche. Totally hilarious. Thank you so much for making my morning more enjoyable.

However, if you call BS on me calling BS, and can back it up with evidence demonstrating you are correct ... I'll show you how to make more money than whatever bigger/better thing it is you are doing now. Otherwise, this was a well regurgitated thread. Cheers and more success to you and anyone else attempting this!

Ok, so I'm not playing "call the BS" game with you. It seems immature. But I'll take the trouble to answer you, because I hope you're not as malicious as you sound.
1 - Where did you read in my opening post that I mention "watch online"!? I wouldn't bother with that, it's so 2000's. I'm suggesting, as you can see if you take a closer look at the first post, using affiliate banners, selling items that may be of interest to movie fans, cups, t-shirts, dildos, whatever. NOT placing a video locker, a popup triggered by popup etc. So you got the first part wrong.
2 - I specifically emphasized that you need to place a bet on a small movie that you think would be successful although it's not really expected to. NOT a big blockbuster. So doing SEO for this would be a lot easier. I'm sorry I can't post any proof as I did this last back in 2013/14 and my sites had no new posts since so they lost the position on Google. There, you caught me lyin'.
3 - Again, if you spam forums offering your free online movie (and I've never mentioned "watch online movies"), you won't have so much success. But if you say "hey I've found out on www.goodwillhuntingsecrets.com that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck shared a girl AND a condom once" you'll get at least a few people on your site. And again, don't take it literally, I don't want you to post anything like that, just think outside the box a bit.
4 - If you bother to take another close look you'll notice that I said "I'm using movies niche just as an example, you can do this with games, iphones, music, whatever can be "upcoming". Although I used red font color just in case someone like you comes around. Which makes your entire post obsolete.

Oh, I guess I accidentally called BS on your BS. But I'd have to decline your generous offer to teach me your mojo as you fail to perform a simple task of reading a post. You just want to bully the smallest kid, and I've already learned this in high school.

And one more thing. I can prove to you that I ranked one site on the first page of google for months. I've just find my blogger stats, as it is, surprise, surprise, a blogger blog. I'm not sure if it's a smart thing to do but I can post it here just to prove it's possible, if that's what you want.

Fortunately for us both someone already beat you to the punch on calling my BS, and they demonstrated the right angles as well as some corollary niches for which your information is perfect. As such, I rescind my previous statements, and support you whole-heartedly and thank you for sharing such a valuable thread. Your statements above add even more value.

    Best wishes.
