I would like to share an offline + online method I am using to make $70+ per day.

How I started

Four years ago I lost my job but I didn't want to go back to the 9 - 5 grind. That’s when I sat down to plan my next move and this is when the method I am about to share with you came to life.

Guide

This is not for people who don’t want to get their hands dirty.

I identified a problem: Broken down home appliances e.g stove, fridge, aircon etc=> Opportunity

Solution: I had to be a technician...BUT...

The problem: I didn’t even have a clue about how to fix appliances and no money/time to go to a technical college.

So, this what I did
  1. Posted a classified ad online looking for someone who had knowledge in fixing appliances and had their own tools.

  2. I asked friends to recommend a technician who was looking for work/clients
I eventually found an independent technician who was struggling to get leads and I pitched my proposal.

:):)

We came to an agreement that:
  • I will be responsible for marketing/ acquiring leads and closing deals

  • He goes out to do the job * When I am not busy I am with him as an assistant and at the same time monitoring invoices/payments

  • We split the money 50/50 after expenses
Most of the jobs we charge an average of $80 per gig and we do at least 3 jobs or more per day.

Where I get leads

  • I advertise via a classified website (similar to Craigslist) - FREE

  • Made a website as well and did some SEO with some method I gathered on this forum- (ranking 1st on page one for some terms in the niche:) - hosting $17 per month

  • I have recently done GMB and hoping to get verified and MORE leads.

With this simple method, I have been able to get extra money to cover expenses and groceries.

I have spoonfed Y'all!

Do with it with what you will.

Congratz ! Pretty good business :) If you can find more clients and then find another technician you can scale it !

Thanks sounds like a great idea. All I need is to find an honest person in my area. I am also thinking of getting a developer to do an app for me.
I am still brainstorming

Great method. Just plain and simple but profitable. Nicely done.

There is soooooo much opportunity in local markets. Especially from a marketing and SEO point of view. Keywords are easier to rank for and can be a lot more profitable with even less search volume vs affiliate marketing.

Yes, that very true. Local markets don't require huge budgets. You can actually start from zero, no matter where you live.

Exactly, and in many cases, you are competiting with only a handful of businesses and they have awful SEO. On-page is terrible and they will only have some directory links or none at all. A goldmine. Definitely, want to move more into Local for future projects.

Were you attending call outs with the plumbers as well? I now know one or two things about fixing appliances and that's helping me to close more deals.
