haha i think f+s has immense potential man, what was your shipping rate set to? I can't go low since my items cost a lot, i lowered it by 1.50$ from 9.99, i also renamed the shipping to Express and Express 2+ Items respectively. I'm running 30$ ads for today, will post here if the results are better

Gonna be waiting for this

Setting up the store took me a lot of time as i am setting some Categories, and it's a lot of work and lot of Collections to add.

Guys try the Crush Pics App if you want to make your web page load faster, What it does is compressing your pics so the download takes less time on the customer's device.
I case you don't want to pay for the App and want your website to load faster, what i have noticed is that App says that some pictures are already compressed. After checking more, the pictures that i have made using Adobe Photoshop are the ones that has the minimum size for maximum quality. Try getting the pictures on photoshop and re-save them ( The Save for Web makes pretty nice results)

I will be sharing more apps as i get used to Shopify,

Cheers !

Definitely can't wait to hear how it goes. Every step is important in this and even then I don't think it will 100% work the way everyone expects. The ad is the first part and since people have no attention span whatsoever I think starting off with a flashy video will be my best bet for clicks. After that it comes down to the customers needs and pricing. I might also bundle in something cheap, i have 30-40 dollar products priced around 40 -50, using only exact numbers. And my niche has lots of accessories I can add in, 2 or 3 dollar things.

Since OP is busy with making $$$$$. I have created this group chat (after asking him and he suggested to make one yourself).

We can share some in's and out's of Shopify (similar ecom/product selling businesses and make some value).

I'm looking forward to meet some serious people willing to work over it and make it a success.

It might take some days to build up some serious group but yeah keep engaged there.

Let's rock and make some bucks from Shopify.

Waiting for you inside the group. ;)

P.S.: Wish OP would join the group if he feels so. We will be lucky if he joins.

Anyone knows how to remove the 'store password' and 'This shop will be powered by Shopify' from your main store page before the launch?

See screenshot attached.

You can remove "store password" after you choose a Shopify Plan. And to remove "This shop will be powered by http://www.shopify.com/" go to this site - http://bit.ly/2fQdJdC

You do PPE, Video Ads, CTW or Conversion Website?

Curious, why do you put "get two or more to save on shipping!" in your product description? If they end up grabbing all "10 per customer" wouldn't you have to end up paying 0.99$x10 which is 9.99 and lose out on the margin of you getting money from the shipping fee they pay you?

As OP said you'll need to set up different shipping rates

0 - 0.9 = $9.99
1 - 1.9 = 14.99
2.0 - 2.9 = 17.99
3.0 - 3.9 = 19.99
4.0 - 4.9 = 21.99

got a few sales, but the margin on my prodcuct is too low to be worth it. Lowering the shipping price definitely increased my sales but it almost isn't worth it at that point. So i'm going to test items in the 1-2$ range, i have one up for 20$ today that i just launched, with the same shipping rates (8ish$). I think its a good item, but who knows, i'll upload my 20$-40$stats in 24h

I'm on a 60-day trial. Do I still need to choose a plan and pay for it?

You have to pick a plan for which you will pay once the trial has ended, not now. While picking a plan they will tell when you'll have to pay.
I think you can cancel the trial and not pay at all in case you don't want to keep Shopifying.

Good luck

Hello, I really appreciate you take your time to post this guide. I want to start this journey!

Shopify is a great CMS, I'm making 5k+ revenue in it by ranking just a few KWs haha. Just gotta have a convince-able product page for the customer to buy from.

Some weird thing happened to my customer. I set the product weight at 2.0- 2.9 kg @ $17.99
One customer buy the product which is set to be 2 kg so it was supposed to be $17.99 but no shopify said $21.99
And the total weight is 2.187 kgs (I believe 0.187 kgs(0.4125 lb) comes from the box weight in the /admin/settings/shipping )
But again, 2.187 kgs supposed to be $17.99 not $21.99
When I try to buy that product myself (same variant) it is $17.99 ..... wtf is going on?

If you're targeting US people by using fb ads, what's a cost per engagement that you can consider good for $1 to $ items?

Having started my shopify store in october and sold for $500 of goods using free + shipping in a few weeks using FB ads, everyone must know that's not a long term business if you are only using Facebook Ads, or any other type of bidding advertising to acquire customers. Why ? Because your Cost of Customer Acquisition will be way too high.

Testing --> Cost money
Scaling --> Doesn't work like you put more budget in your winning ads, no you'll need to split the ads.. Revenue & Ads spend are not a linear function !
Winning ads set --> Are not infinite, it might be ROI positive during 1 week 2 weeks, maybe a few months if you are lucky, so you'll always need to keep testing

Conclusion: Paid Advertising is not a long term profitable Customer Acquisition Channel in E-Commerce, you'll need to find organic channel or chances are, you won't make it. Also be careful of dropshipping, it works in some cases (if your dropshipping warehouse can have low delivery time, i'm talking 7 days max) it can work in the long term, but forget +20 days, your retention rate will be very low, and real profit comes from recurring customers)

I call this bullshit. Mostly this part : "Paid Advertising is not a long term profitable Customer Acquisition Channel in E-Commerce". It may be for F+S but if you have a unique product or you know how to properly set up the ads , you can bank with facebook ads. Usual cost per purchase can go up to 15-25$ so price your item accordingly. F+S is way saturated and customers already know the catch.
