I have few ideas but wanted to get some clarification.
Say for example i set up a site where I direct ppl to dl website of some beat making software. Would I post in music forums? DO i just make reg post and have the link to my page in the signature?

These issues were covered in the first couple of pages of this thread. Various suggestions were made as to how to make things look more real.


To ALL:

Remember, I went down the screenshot route because the site I used carried frame-busting code.
However, for those of you twisting this and using other types of sites, remember that many will NOT have frame-busting code.
In those cases, the easiest thing to do is to just iframe the site in question, and pop a locker over it.

Screenshotting just gives an extra option for when iframes can't be used, if they can, no link-swapping code is necessary, nor any screenshots, slicing, yada-yada...

This sounds great, but if thousands are already doing it, maybe it would have been better if I'd seen this a couple of months ago. Still, food for thought.

It works if you get creative.
If you simply copy everything in OP, you'll struggle, both to find microworkers or Fiverr gigs, and also to get download links to stick in forums.

You need to take the basics (the link-swapping code, the screenshots where sites can't be iframed, content-locking other people's content) and twist things up, by thinking outside the box - it's the only way you'll make "your" method different to everyone else's and, therefore, get it to work.

I can't implement any free content locker, I've tried but it didn't work..
Do somebody know any free that works? Directly when I have enough cash I'll buy CLP.

Why is not illegal? That is youtube spam and getting traffic from yt... is legal?:-??

Where did Youtube come into anything???

I shared the method, and never once did I mention Youtube, so don't see why anyone is calling this YT spam!

As for CPA Networks, this is Blackhat World - you will find a plethora of information regarding what to do to "fly under the radar", but, honestly, if you don't expect at least 80% of the money-making methods posted on this forum to be breaking at least one companies' TOS, you are very sadly mistaken.

YES, this method breaks the TOS of a few companies:
a) probably the site you are iframing,
b) depending on your content - probably also the owners of it
c) depending on how you monetise, probably the advertisers or networks,

etc, etc

IF you want to stay whiter than white - move on, this method (and probably this website) aren't for you.
Otoh, if you DO want to make some money, and use this method to do so, then the onus is on you to do your research and see what extra stuff you might want to do to make it much less obvious to those companies that you are circumventing their TOS (hint: the answers can ALL be found on this forum, many of the answers are in this thread).
 
I think I've come up with a twist(I haven't read all pages so I don't know if it's been mentioned). Some downloaders may be skeptical if they go to download a file at their favorite host and when they try to download, a locker pops up. I think, if you're using a site that has seperate free & premium download options, especially when they're right next to each other, you could ony slice and make clickable the premium option. And have your locker say something like, "to enjoy the benefits of premium downloading(unlimited downloads, unlimited download speed etc.) Complete an offer below. If you don't want to do that, pay for a membership today. If you're already a member, please login." Something like that. Now the downloader's question as to why their is a locker in the first place is answered. They may not need any more persuasion afterwards & just complete the offer, though it doesn't really matter because it's the only clickable option anyway.They wont be suspicious anymore but just think its a new feature of the site & I think this will help conversions.

Anyhow, past my stupidity :D, I've been looking around for methods of money making lately considering I need a source of 'back-up income' and I came across this post. First off, I've got to say this is absolutely brilliant (props to you for thinking this up), and I agree with all the positive feedback that you've received. I actually joined this forum just because of this post (it inspired me ;)).

Moving on past all the flattering, I'm a noob when it comes to some of this stuff and I understand this isn't necessarily the forum for me, but I wanted to ask a couple things. Go ahead and call me a noob if this question has a rather obvious answer, but we were all where I am now at one point, and just like you, I will move up eventually.

So, I get most of what your tutorial explains, but I was wondering how all your earnings are transferred to you via the use of a custom gateway. Before answering that, I'll tell you that I do plan to sign up with CLP (and I assume this will do most of the tough work for me), but I'm not willing to do so until I see some initial results with a custom coded gateway. So I was wondering, if I use a custom gateway, how will the earnings be given to me. And other than custom gateways and CLP-like sites, are there any other alternatives (such as free sites content lock sites) that will do the job for now?

Sorry if my post is a little confusing... Once again, I'm still a noob and understand that I probably shouldn't be on a more advanced forum like this one. But I hope that you can answer my question.

From one noob to another ;) (and people can correct me on this), from what I understand from your question, I think you're wondering how you will be paid when using content lockers? When you have your offer set up on the lock, and people actually go through it, the affiliate network that you got the offer from will be the one that will do the payout. Now I guess it just depends on how you set up the payment information with them. Hope that made some sense.

Also, along with everyone else, I have to agree that this is an excellent method. Ty JohnsonDaniel!

First off, thanks for not complaining about how I shouldn't be on here at all and actually answering my question :).

Regarding the answer. So, when you sign up with the affiliate network, they'll give you an html code (based on your desired offers) which you can then insert to your existing website's html code? Correct me if I'm wrong.

And if you're using a custom-made gateway, I'm assuming it's the same process? You just add the affiliate site's html code to the custom gateway's html code, and all payouts, money-transfers, etc. are done by the affiliate marketing site itself?

One final question if you don't mind (and this goes out to everyone), would you be able to suggest a free affiliate marketing site that can provide me with the content locker, but one that isn't so strict on having a [good] website. Put simply, I can make a basic website that would be user-friendly and easy to put together, but it is never approved by the affiliate marketing site because I'm not willing to buy and host a professional domain name until I begin seeing results and money come in with a free, no-investment-required website to start.

Sorry for rambling on, but thanks again for your answer, and thanks to JohnsonDaniel for such a brilliant (and apparently thought-provoking) method. :p

those are 4 of the bigger names i can think of, check them out. There's no reason why you can't sign up to all of them. LB is from australia, so they'll allow a lot more than other networks it seems, but i've gotten away with some BH stuff with all 4 of the networks listed above, so you really just gotta test and see.

I have honestly got to say thanks for this list. I've tried before, but my site wasn't approved. However, I took your advice, signed up to all of them, and gave it my best shot.

So far, I've been accepted by LeadBolt, Dollarade, and AdWorkMedia (unlisted site). Still waiting on approval from BlamAds. :)

Really, though. This gave me hope. All it took was a basic website, some decent grammar and spelling, and a bit of my eighth grade persuasion lessons (never thought they would come in handy ;)), and next thing I know, I'm flooded with approval statements.

Thanks, and I'll keep you posted on my progress! Time to start raking in the dough! (I hope.)
