Some pretty useful info here about keyword research. OP sure is dedicated. I'm currently doing keyword research myself as well, and this is oretty good of a refresher course to me.

Just to contribute a bit more to this topic, keyword research, especially for those of a slightly more competitive end, you must not look simply at top 10 results for a reason.

There had been many sites I see in top ten that had pretty bad onsite seo with things like a general lack of kw in exact order in title, but if you look behind all the page 2 3 and 4 onwards, there are pretty much a lot of highly targeted seo sites with proper onpage seo that are not ranking for the term in first page.

My guess is that the first page's site has waay too many backlinks with keywords anchor text than any of the other sites, and a few of them are actually authority sites regarding the specific niche. These sites are HARD to beat as google seems to love them so much they rank damn easily for a page, having only super low backlinks to page, while having very high backlinks to the site domain in general.

When doing keyword research, you must take into account the amount of backlinks you can churn out to rank for the term and see if its worth the effort. Sometimes some keywords have search volumes in only the thousands but they are so competitive you are better off targeting some other easy keyword that may even have more search volume.

THANK you. I wasn't sure how to really do this. I used broad term in first info. Thankfully I have enough for ONE MORE info and may find a winner.

OMG! I got a exact keyword domain with exactly 3600 searches globally a MONTH! And I am going to put CPA in it. I don't see why this can't work. Yes, exact keywords domain match.

Excellent tips!

As i have said before, great of you to share this information. I have been doing more research and have come across the importance of the PR rank of your competition and how many backlinks they have. How much relevance do you put on these two aspects?

They are quite important, the lower both of those are, the easier it will be for you to get a EMD ranking top 3 :) :nana:

I think you are talking about the little "bar" right ?

That competition is referring to the Google Adwords, since technically the tool was built for the adwords users :)

You should use a tool like IMeye or Market Samurai to really know if the competition is easy. How, research it, both those programs have their own video tutorials.

I must say this is a valueable post for newbies, i myself recommend this post for all those new comers who are interested in seeking knowledge of seo, good luck guys =)

This is very helpful!!

This is my first time to know about how to go directly and view Google's last page.

Thank you so much bro!
