would that mean if i rank no.1 on that KW only the 'exact' number will see it or will it show up in other searches as well.

also my niche is very small as its a business and i want to target only local people, i have got 12 KW but they only have 30 exact searches each per month. do you think it makes sense to do seo on it and buy backlinks.

Exact shows you the amount of people that will type in your "exact keyword" where are broad and phrase shows people that might type parts of your keyword or your exact keyword with other parts in it.

I.e you want to rank for "gold ring"

exact = gold ring

broad = where can I buy a ring that is made of gold

phrase = buy gold ring for men

Now if you are ranking number 1 for the exact match keyword "gold ring" and it gets 10K searches then all of the people that type that keyword will see your site (maybe not visit it but they will see it), where as people that might type in the keyword in "broad" or "phrase" then they might not see your site ranking.

Thats why I say, Always look at exact match for traffic, if you get some of the broad traffic then so bit, that will be a bonus but do not expect to get the broad/phrase traffic.

You can choose to go after those 30 exact searches keyword if they are "buying keywords" and you think you can make a sale from getting 20 visitors that use those keywords.

Personally I would not bother unless the keyword we are talking about is like "buy rolex model type" or something along those lines that is VERY targeted and probably will lead to a sale.

Its all up to you buddy.

do you just use google kw tool or would you suggest to use market samurai aswell.

Hey, I'm new in Internet Marketing.
I will create a micro niche website on autopilot.

I never searched keywords.

Now I found a nice keyword but I don't know whether it is good.
It would be great if some one of the pro's could look on my results.

Country: Germany

CPC: 0.07?
Monthly local searches: 6.600
Monthly global searches: 8.100
Traffic travis says it's easy (5 of 5 stars)
and the keyword is as a domain available.

The search: "keyword" returns 127.000 results.
The search: "keyword" returns 54 pages.
The search: intitle:"keyword" returns 4.500 results.
The search: inurl:"keyword" returns 4.400 results.
The search: inurl:"keyword" intitle:"keyword" returns 3.000 results.
- Do you think the CPC is too low?
- How does it work with these micro niche sites?
- Do I need to create many articles or extend 2 - 4?
- Do I need to create often backlinks?

Thanks from Germany.

I think the CPC is fine unless your its "gossip/celebrity" niche.

Normally google's low CPC are not always correct.

Just build links, there are many threads explain how to build micro niche sites, and also case studies.

Good luck

Appreciate the work. As you said in your post, everyone has their own way of doing keyword research. The main thing I've realized is that it's not the amount of the competition you need to be concerned with... it's the quality of the page 1 competition you will be up against.

Thanks for your share!

Thanks for your comment, its very fair point.

I just look at those other things, because they give me an idea of how long it will take to land on first page.

Hey :)
I think I found a gold mine. Like I mentioned above I will start with a micro niche website.

It would be great if one of the pros could look at this:

Country: Germany
[EXACT]
CPC: 1,84?
Monthly local searches: 22.200
Monthly global searches: 27.100
Traffic travis says it's easy (5 of 5 stars)
but the keyword is as a exact domain NOT available.

The search: "keyword" returns 17.800 results.
The search: "keyword" returns 48 pages.
The search: intitle:"keyword" returns 712 results.
The search: inurl:"keyword" returns 174 results.
The search: inurl:"keyword" intitle:"keyword" returns 120 results.

Do you think I should start with this?

Thank you.
