[METHOD] Simple Fake Referrer

Following the KISS principle this is a very simple DMR with a fake the referrer
that will never leak the original referrer for anyone that needs it.

From the attachment follow these instructions:
1. Edit page1.php and change the http://my.domain/page2.php to the correct URL for your server.
2. Edit page2.php and change the http://my.domain/page3.php to the correct URL for your server.
3. Name the legit.page.php file to whatever is appropriate for your site/offer/etc.
4. Edit page3.php and change the http://my.domain/legit.page.php to the correct URL for your server and the fllename from the previous step.
5. Edit legit.page.php and change the http://my.domain/page3.php to the correct path for your server.
6. Change the http://your.cpa.offer.link to the correct URL for your cpa offer.
7. Create your content. etc for the legit cpa page. (legit.page.php)
8. If you already have the legit page just take the content of legit.page.php and copy/paste it inside the head tags.

Point your traffic to the page1.php and you're all set!

This will NEVER leak your original referrer and will show the legit.page.php with your legit cpa offer on it as the referrer.

If anyone goes directly to the legit.page they will see the legit page and not be redirected.

The simple fake referrer works perfectly with the following browsers:

  • FireFox v.3.6.12
  • Internet EXploder 8.0.6001.18975
  • Safari 5.0.2
  • Google Chrome 7.0.517.44
  • Opera 10.63

Do you have a link to it?

AFAIK it only blanks the referrer and doesn't fake the referrer.
Also can only be used on wordpress.

My simple fake referrer can be used on anything/anywhere.

Thanks for this.

Just tried it and managed to virtually get it working first time. Only problem I have is when it hits the "legit" page it stops.

I already have an offer page so followed the instructions about updating and pasting the legit.page.php code into the header of my existing "legit" page but doesnt seem work for me.

Any tips or advice on where I might be going wrong as I really need this to appear as referrer and cant quite manage the final step to doing this.

My existing offer page is a html page - is that a probem and if not could it be to do with how I am adding a php script into a html page that is the issue.

Any help welcome here as I am by no means technical so keep it simple for me :D

What's the result when you use IE 7 or IE 9? IE still holds the boat for the most popular browser. It's likely that an affiliate network either hasn't updated their browser or is completely up to date IMO..but nevertheless good share.
 
thank you.i am using cpa-redirector and happy with it.itdont reveal any info.Do fake referrer reveal any info.are we safe using it?
 
Hi,i'v been trying to get this script to work using the page1.php from my iframe cpa link in cakeslice.My page shows but the iframe does not.I wondered if there was any update for script,seems to be just the legit.page.php thats not working properly.Would realy appreciate it if can help as tryed every script on lots forums and yours is closest to working.Hope you or anyone can help

I'm not exactly sure what you've got but I can't help but think the iframe isn't setup right.

Can i use this sir? or its not working with the latest versions of the browsers?
