There are a number of ways to do it. The two simplest ways would be to either take a screenshot of the movie inside a video player, make sure theres a big "play" button in the image, and when users click the image it links them to your offer download page. Or you could put your offer link next to the actual file link and trick users into clicking your offer instead.

Ok, I setup a movie site, not using this wp plugin but my own plugings.
Setup a movie site for a very popular movie, monetized it in 3 ways, 1 x cpa (like the one you said, where you have to signup for a free account), clickbank and ppd (you have to install a video player plugin).
So on twitter I sent my message to watch this movie to 3000 people that tweeted about this movie (direct reply) and almost ALL of them went to the site, but I got 3 (!!!!!) clicks (out of 3000!!!!). How can this be the case?
Please tell me what I did wrong .....

Yes I agree that as long as you try long enough you can make almost anything successful. And there is no doubt that this niche makes money!
