As rootjazz said, it may be because you are syndicating the wrong image url.
Or it can be because of choosed the wrong trigger or the wrong footprint. Check the recipe.

Having the same problem. Do not know if this method works anymore. Also tried to connect dropbox like another member suggested. All to no avail. Wasted hours.

I don't recommend to post a link to your website (which is a .tk with a redirect) on every post.
If anyone is planning to do the same, you're wasting your time with Tumblr honestly.

You could try adsense provided you have your own domain hosted with tumblr. Yet, I would consider it risky.

Thanks for the guide cazual. I meant to PM you, but I couldn't find an option for it, so I'll use this to contact you. I was wondering if you've tried this method with reddit? In particular, I've taken a search link from reddit, and turned it into an RSS link by putting the string "xml" after "search" but before the "?" in the url. I'm noticing none of the photos are getting posted to my tumblr queue, though, despite me leaving the photo url for the recipe untouched. Thoughts?

Hello i know this is an old post like 3 years ago but when i tried it i get tge error feed is not reachable and applet wont work? Is there other images feeds besides imgur this will work?

Sure there are.
You just need to find one that is suited for your need.
Also, if you search enough you might find a way to convert a non-accepted feed type to one that works.
Just dig on it. There are tons of rss feeds out there that work with ifttt.
