Yes, nider is free and you should use it in scale - but way easier to create a nice banner with Bannerbear.

Thank you but there are two more contenders in the market - Auto Featured Image from Title by Chris Huff and Auto Featured Image by Creative Motion.

I am using the later in on of my sites and it is generating good images for a one-time cost of $55 lifetime.
