Mental Health Issues

MEDITATE, DON'T MEDICATE. mostly our war is in our head so it really depends on your perception of life, on how to make things work out. put yourself first and don't always think about,"how about them?" instead say to yourself "how about me?" self awareness and self acceptance is the key for you to figure things out. Have fun, life will laugh us all so give life a smile. enjoy the ride ;)
Good luck sitting in front of computer and having good mood. Most people will have to use medications due to this type of lifestyle.
If the whole world consumed sunlight and talked to each other more, we wouldn't need that much medication.
But for now we have to use medication. Individually we can break free from this, but as the whole western world, not yet.
All large systems get hiccups and vulnerabilities, so nothing shocking that should be.
Crowd is always dumber than individuals, simply because crowd is distraction for an individual by opinions and other people / excessive / conflicting external stimuli.
Best stuff is internal.
life will laugh us all so give life a smile
As long as you identify with your made up "self", you'll get the impression of being a victim of the universe or any other system.
Our "self" that we live on daily basis is a by-product of culture. Nothing to get attached to.
All human concepts are abstract, so "self" is a concept. If you think about that, you realize your brain invented itself and the "self".
We're living in a virtual reality on many levels.

People tried to get to the smallest possible particle, but because they're living in a completely different dimension than those particles, they fail to grasp what they're about and their abstract conceptual stuff just leads them to the same abstract conclusions over and over again. You'd need to become an atom if you wanted to understand atoms. Beyond comprehension of our culture.

A scientist claims they don't know jackshit and only use tools they find optimal to explore reality, but in fact all they're exploring is their minds confusing it with reality which cannot be grasped with mind cause mind is invented for survival purposes mostly, so not the best tool.

If we invent some tool to grasp the truth of something, we will translate it into concepts and immediately lose the truth in translation. Maybe 10k people on the planet will know some stuff, but the rest will be clueless.

"Life will laugh us all" - so there will be some great happening, the biggest big bang ever called death, the ultimate terminator of a made up concept called "self" that is of so much value that it's more important than the whole universe? This is predicting future and culture taught as the concept of death and what that means.

See how people value their "self". They value it so much that they think nothing matters without it.

IS this something you're born with or you learned that "self" is the most important concept in the universe? If there's no option to conceptualize, then it means the priciest / the only thing is gone, yeah. By a tool called "conceptualization" we invent "concept" and then it goes south to create gradation of everything in relation to that concept.

Nice and easy. Time to join the crowd and start doing AI too. :/ I was trying to fight the revolution for the past year, but nah, I give up. :/
My "self" holds hard onto this idea of being special and doing everything its own way. But... sometimes it's just better to join the crowd.

Stay among only positive people. Surround yourself with happy people too and do things that make you smile. The better you can establish a positive environment around yourself the more it will support this type of self-talk. A friend, on the other hand, might be a safe and gentle extra force for supporting you.

Couldn't agree more with many of the responses to this thread.

I have also recently began playing tennis up to 3-4 times a week for an hour or two at a time and it has made a huge difference.

Besides that I have also been keeping an eye on my dietary health and have gone down a considerable amount of KG making me feel much better about myself in that regard.

Once I start my new work and get used to the work schedule I would like to also join a gym with a few of my mates and focus on that too.

Looking forward to what the future brings and wish anyone who comes along this thread to keep their head up high.

I, on the other hand, got pissed off when I realized someone can build a micro robot and ultra-target it using face recognition to delete someone to put it lightly. The current technology breaks everyone. Business doesn't know limits.

How do you guys deal with negative self thoughts?

Not gonna lie, been going through a rough patch the last few months and been trying to deal with it but its getting to a breaking point...

Financially not doing too well, my job search is taking its sweet time. I've gotten interviews but no positions yet and waiting for one more response from my latest interview.

Projects and responsibilities are still there with barely any financial means to cover those expenses. Big expenses coming up in the next few months too...

NGL kinda feeling locked in my head about the whole thing and not rly seeing a bright way out.

Just figured id share a piece of my mind on here and vent a lil.

Thanks for your time.
Solve your problems, there is no other way. I know, easier said than done. But you feel the way you feel because situation is shit, spending what little money you have left on psychiatrists or new age affirmation app won't solve your problems.

Build a village and hide yourself there with people of your kind, doctors, professors, healers. :)
The average world is hellishly dangerous.
Anyone in their right mind should value security.
Get a damn shotgun and radars to detect those modern day dangers like drones.

Update on my end guys, hope anyone who's come across the thread is doing well too.

I have been applying for jobs left right and center and managed to land a job (currently in training) and it's "an easy job" is CS.

However now I have heard back from another place that is interested in hiring me and have requested I attend a formal interview with them... The pay difference is VERY noticable (10K+ A year + bonuses etc..) but the workload and responsibility is greater.

What would you do?

I will still attend the interview as I have nothing to loose but being an introvert I've kinda started to settle at my current place too.... Kinda confused...

Thing is when you go to another interview, they'll probably ask you "Why you want to work here?" Which I don't think you do. Remember you probably have opportunities to grow in your new position (Congrats!).

A bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush, as the saying goes. I think once you stick and work your new position with your newfound discipline, you'll find another opportunity like the other one most likely, at a better more convenient time, that fits into your sphere of influence, instead of a possible bad crash and burn again.

Hitting the gym and working out hard is really doing wonders for one’s mental health (especially after seeing results in muscle gain from weight training).

For me the gym is a kind of meditation - headphones on, blasting some hardstyle music and absolutely killing the workout to feel the pump and dopamine rush really puts you into a better headspace and you will start looking at your problems in a different way.

If you are dealing with a lack of energy, low/depressed mood constantly it might be worth a shot to look into TRT to constantly stabilise your testosterone levels (especially free testosterone) at the top end of the range.
