The waiting time is really long. If it's for getting used to the site then 1 month is enough and even 2 weeks is enough for the enthusiastics. Why the long wait? Instead of waiting time, increasing the message count and adding new condition like character per messages would be better. Also it would be better if there is a reputation score. If your report is a good one then you get points and if your report is not a good one then you loose points. The parts for calculation of the reputation points might be like this: reports, helping others-can be checked by an exec after getting enough likes-, warnings, marketplace reputation, "paid membership period/membership period" ratio etc. This is just an idea and can be developed for a better one.

Increasing the message count would result in more post count inflation across the forum.

Adding a reputation factor is an interesting idea for the forum in general. Ideally for paid membership levels, we don't want to complicate the factors too much, otherwise our support desk will get overloaded. You can always submit a Forum Suggestions & Feedback thread about it as well.

Having started off as a member here, I can say that spending more time with the community before upgrading can help you understand how to sell better here if that's your goal.

If I pay $749 per year, will I be able to see threads that are exclusive to Jr VIP status? Or are those posts visible only to Jr VIP members?

You would not have access to the Jr. VIP sub-forum, your best bet is to build up another seventy-four posts (do not spam of course) as then you can just pay $149 to upgrade and submit your thread, this will save you quite a bit of money.

If your account is at least 60 days old and you have made over 100 quality posts, you can purchase a Jr. VIP membership. This qualifies you to submit your sales thread for listing on our marketplace. However, if you are new to the forum and do not qualify to be a Jr. VIP but still want to sell your product on our marketplace, you can purchase the Marketplace Seller membership.

When I lurked and first opened my account, I sometimes thought initially that 'messages' were different to 'posts' and wondered how to build my count and whilst it is explained fully in Brand New to BHW it did take me a little while but did soon realise that they were one and the same....just a thought

I would like to open a commercial thread, but I read that it requires a Jr. VIP rank and 100 posts. Following this, I reviewed the profiles of those who have sold in the past and noticed that many were able to open threads with just a Jr. VIP membership, without meeting the 100-post requirement or achieving the highest rank.

Could you provide me with detailed information on this matter? While your guidelines state a 100-post requirement, I couldn't find evidence in the post history of some members who have opened sales threads in the past to confirm they met this condition. How exactly does this process work?

To open a sales thread in the BlackHatWorld Marketplace, you need to meet specific criteria:

  • You must hold either a Jr. VIP or Marketplace Seller membership.
  • Your account should be free from active warnings.
  • Your product or service must successfully pass our marketplace review process.

You can open a sales thread with Jr VIP and Marketplace Seller membership. The only membership you won't be able to do is with the Premium.

Regarding the 100 post requirement, while Jr. VIP membership typically requires a minimum of 100 quality posts, the Marketplace Seller membership does not have this post count prerequisite. This distinction allows members with fewer posts (or none) to participate in the marketplace, provided they upgrade to the Marketplace Seller membership and meet the abovementioned criteria.
