Hello BHW,
I want to start meditating, I want to be able to use my chi. Is there anyone here who meditates? If so could you give me some useful links, tricks, tutorials?
Also what do you think about meditation in general?
As for me, I think meditating will help me achieve full control of my mind and body.

Read Alan Watts and everything about the art of Zen. This should lead you the right way.

I do meditation. Read about lotus poze and get ready for hard working ; ) Meditation is pretty hard to do.

I meditate twice a day. Though I follow a method which is very effective made by a local.

It's true. Meditation gives you immense control over your body and mind which is NOT easy at all without the help of meditation. The true goal of meditation is making you learn to focus.

How does one know that the other speaks out of his ass? One sees that the other is defining truths and purpose for something they don't understand.

My regards to you people for the replies, I will definitely check out your recommendations. :)

I try to meditate everyday, it really helps refresh and refocus your mind. What I do is find a really quite room, or a place away from any from everything that would distract me. I focus on nothing but my breathing breathing, the air entering and leaving the inside of my nose. If you're in a really quiet area you might even hear your heart beating or other organs in your body working :) You can never really experience that feeling of euphoria until you shut off all noise in this world.

Ah, Okay I get it now. What I meant with I want full control over my body and mind was I want to unleash my mind from any limitations, I want to get stronger as in both body and mind, I don't want to feel fear or anything of that matter, in crazy situations I want to have "cold" head. If you have that control that's great.

Read the book The Power of Now, it's about inner peace and happiness. Very interesting and relaxing to read or listen to.
And also read Psycho-Cybernetics (or The New Psycho-Cybernetics). It's more about changing your self-image as a way to completely change yourself to what kind of person you want to be. It also contains very interesting mental exercises to practise, such as visualization and escaping into your own mind to find peace and stop stress.
You can get them in audio-versions.
I have both on my phone.
I listen to them when I'm walking to the gym or taking the subway home from school.

+1 for Spirit Science. I just wrote a blog post about it today.

Meditation is great. It really helped me. You know how everyone says "Don't switch from thing to thing in IM". It helps you be focused enough to stick to one thing until it pays off. It just helps with Internet Marketing in so many ways. It also helps me stay sober and a bunch of other benefits. If you are on the fence, just do it.

Yeah, that's why I mainly asked about meditation in this forum, I knew at least some people would do it here. Also Thank you everyone for these helpful posts.

The Eastern concept of meditating involves emptying your mind. The Western version (as per the Bible) stresses meditating and experiencing joy by filling your mind, specifically with thoughts about the presence of God, thanking Him for the blessings and favor you have received, and praying for more. The OP may benefit more from practicing contemplation and meditation in the biblical manner, rather than trying to hear one's own brain waves.
