Maximum post on Wordpress

ohai

How much post can I use in one single wordpress installation? I have a blog with 10.000 post, and someone offer me a database with 80.000 post (in a self-developed MySQL DB).

I can easily manage the migration process, but i'm not sure if Wordpress will keep working with that load. And the website will keep increasing their size.

I've read a lot of different things about it in Google, but nothing clear.

my wordpress mysql datebase crash when my post reach about 5,4000

i have to repair the wp_options and wp_posts table to access my wordpress site.

and when i browse wp_posts table in phpmyadmin, the "Page number" are not continuous,

besides, when i click some "page number", there is an error box show up in IE explorer.
