Massive Direct Scrapebox Blast on Brand New Website

Hey, first of all: thank you for this thread.

I've got a couple of questions for you and I was hoping you're willing to answer them:

1. I'm not to fortunate, using sb myself. Therefore I decided to outsource my backlinking. However, with outsourcing it's quite difficult to have linkvelocity. Do you think that matters much?
2. Is it neccesary to also blast my inner pages, since I only want to rank my homepage?
3. What percentage of your backlinks carry your keyword anchor text? Or do you use very different/random anchortexts so that you leave no ''footprint''(it may be quite obvious; ten-thousands of links with the same anchortext.

I blasted my website and asked others on BHW to blast it at the same time. My site went from not ranked to the top 2.7 million sites and it keeps climbing every week without doing much else.

Gonna blast a test site to see if I can get same results.

A bit out of topic here but...you said you blasts your site with the kw you targeted. But what about those that are selling AA sb lists? I never see them advertise their sb aa lists like "Selling 100,000 aa sb lists for dog training". Aren't we suppose to use sb for blog comments relevant to our niche?

1. Link velocity does matter in my opinion, but it doesn't need to be absolutely consistent because Google will discover the links at its own pace unless you ping the link locations. So if you say get 2 blasts a month off, try to pace those so that they're every two weeks. The goal is to add links over time as opposed to one huge blast then nothing.

2. It looks more natural to blast the inner pages. You should want all of your pages to rank. While a primary keyword optimized on your front page may bring in the most traffic, I'd bet that all long tail keywords combined from sub pages will bring in more. The big thing though is if Google see's 10,000 links to the front page and not one to inner pages, it throws up a flag.

3. I very my foot print a lot. I obviously will target my keywords, but use different combinations around a root word that I want to rank for. Say I sell shoes, I might use "blue shoes online", "Shoes for Sale", "Cheap Shoes Online" extra. Eventually Google will figure out my site should rank for "shoes". Of course if you have a specific keyword you want, i.e. "blue shoes online", then I would use that in about 1/3 of my anchor texts. This should also correlate with the domain name "blueshoesonline.com", a title text that includes the keyword "blue shoes online", meta keyword and description that includes this, along with an H1 on the page. Then have content that contains the keyword "blue shoes online", plus throw that bad boy in the footer "Copyright Blue Shoes Online. 2012 All Rights Reserved". Google will definitely get the drift.

Thanks! Definitely start with a test site. I've done this for long enough now that I am very comfortable direct blasting my money sites, but it's good for people less familiar to do a test site. All my test sites are sites that I can also monetize. If a test goes well, might as well make a few bucks also!

If you can get comments on to a page that is already associated with the keyword you are chasing, that is all the much better. The problem is that you probably won't be able to find a 100,000 AA lists for dog training. I know it's an example, but my point is there are so many niches, trying to build niche specific lists, especially for resale, would be a very time consuming task. Relevancy helps, but it is not the end all. SB is really 'rank by a thousand links'. While each link individually is worth very little, its the sum of all these links that makes the difference.

what are your current rankings?

Lately I've stockpiled a good number of domains that will take a while to develop. I've been experimenting with parking these domains and then doing topical SB blasts of around 10k-20k or so to sites in the same or similar vertical.

What' I've found is that I get a little bit of bit of revenue during the parking time and the sites move very fast and hold their rank quite well once I add conent. I think having some links in place first might mitigate or at least minimize the dance that we often see with new sites and sizable blasts.

I've yet to try this with really large SB blasts but it's probably worth exploring.

Current rankings for the last experiment still are #1 for primary and secondary keywords. I've stabilized out on top, so I don't believe it will be moving any time soon.

If I understand right, you're buying domains, parking them but blasting them when first purchased. Then developing them later. Right?

If so, then I think that's a good idea. Most of us get lots of ideas and buy the domains but then can't get to building them out for a while. This way you are building domain age and will have some existing links in place once you start to develop. I like this approach.

This is really interesting! Will keep an eye on this. I just had a site sand boxed..it went from page one highly competative keyword in real estate. Scary as it was a paid client of mine. So I just took a bit of time changed the title added a little extra tit bits...made a few links on sites like squidoo by hand (made 'em really fancy) and three weeks later it was out of the sandbox! and is going strong.

People get really afraid of sandbox. It's just a hazard of the job really. I always look forward to sandbox. Once you break out, you have much more leeway in terms of what you can do to rank. It's like you have passed Google's test. 90% of the time when I exit a sandbox my site is first page.

For my first site that I based this thread off of Webmaster tools is currently listing a little over 42K back links. I am using Google Analytics and Statcounter.

The website was brand new when I started blasting it. I really wanted people to realize that you don't need to wait. Domain age can help you rank over time, but you can take a brand new domain and blast the hell out of it and rank well. I do use quality content onsite. Nothing is spun. You can outsource for quality content quite easily for cheap.

Revenue has topped out. I think I'm at maximum potential with this site unless I were to dramatically increase the site content chasing long tails. It's a micro niche so I don't plan on doing that to much. Traffic has been very consistent for the last month and a half.

Have a few Qs:

At the time of blasting were your sites indexed on Google?

What is the most blast you've done at once? Is there a line to draw on singular blasts? Even if you can keep up the 'velocity'.

Could you shed more light on how you outsource your articles?

Inspired from your thread I will make a test - a have a site sandboxed from 2-3 months. I will give it massive blast for a few days using non-anchor urls.

When I launch a new site, I never try to index it first before blasting it. It's kind of a chicken and the egg scenario. Just blast away. When Google crawls the links you have created it will discover your site and index it. I don't really draw a line in terms of blasts. Usually it depends on the number of jobs I have since I only have so many dedicated servers available to run at any one time. I try to keep them busy because they are paper weights if they are not blasting.

For outsourced articles, it just takes time to develop sources. I've used both people off the Services section here on BHW and Freelancer. They are both pretty good sources. Once you find someone who's quality is consistently good at a price you are willing to pay, just keep using them.

Good luck on your blast. Just start blasting it. I think sandboxing is good in the long run. Google is testing you. They want to know if people will keep linking to it. So just keep blasting. I've had sites run up to 200 visits a day quickly, get sandboxed, then 2 months later after hundreds of thousands of backlinks come out the other side generating 2,000 visits a day. Had one site back in 2004 that got sandboxed for a month, less than 20 visitors a day during that month. Once I left sandbox I ran up to over 15,000 visitors a day with in 45 days of leaving sandbox. It was very crazy.

The best thing to do is experiment. Start a site that you can monetize but if it doesn't work out you haven't lost anything. Then just start playing with it. Find out what works and what doesn't. Just blast the hell out of it. You may be surprised by the results!
