Massive Direct Scrapebox Blast on Brand New Website

I would also be interested in this... I'm new to sb.. im pretty amazed at how easily you are getting these links... do you buy these lists from some place?? i'm not having too much success with the harvester...

I have built my lists up from various sources. Traded for some, bought a couple, scraped most myself. I have SB on two dedicated servers running pretty much 24/7. For the most part I have one server just grabbing and testing new lists with the other actually posting. One of my clients wants a pretty aggressive blast so I just started one against a list of over 290,000 links.

Quick site UPDATE:

YSE is raking in new links. Over 1,200 new links discovered by YSE in the last couple of hours.

Traffic is pretty good so far today and have made a few dollars with Adsense. Will update tomorrow about where my site is ranking for keywords in Google.

Pretty impressive thus far. When are you planning to stop? Also, will you be testing it again on a brand new domain just in case you 'got lucky' here. Traffic stats too please, you've a lot about the BLs but also interested in your traffic changes (small keyword but still).

Kupo, this is an excellent thread. How many unique visitors are you getting per day now?

At the moment I am in #12 position in Google for primary keyword. I am also at #16 in Yahoo for same keyword, which is new. My secondary keywords have dropped outside of the top 200 which is all I track.

So your secondary keywords are dancing now, kupo? They aren't shown in the top 200 results?

I have not decided on when to stop yet. Left that kind of open ended. I'll update on it for at least a month.

I also haven't decided if I will repeat this on another brand new domain. I am thinking about a second test on a brand new domain, but focusing only on building SB links on sites with a PR, .edu or . gov domain. Basically less volume but higher quality.

I touched on traffic stats earlier, but I will update those in my next update tomorrow when I have the stats from today (only three hours left here).

You're welcome bfellow. Glad I can help you out, even with my low post count. I'm trying to make the majority of my posts helpful in some way.

How do you set up dedicated servers for SB? I'm not technical at all so I am totally confused. Do you mean you have one computer that you access virtually and you've installed scrapebox there and run the program? If this is the case, how do I get dedicated servers to do the same?

Thank you for the support and rep! This is definitely a way to slam yourself up to the top quick, but also I think you can hold the top as well. I have rank checker running right now and it is blowing me away. Will report at the end of this posting in the update section.

So what I mean by a dedicated server is that I have a box with only Windows, a few utilities, and SB installed on it. When SB is running, it is the only program open. I run all of my blasts from my office where I have a small cluster of servers just for link building. Some run SB, some run Xrumer, and some run AMR as well as a few other programs. I want to make sure as much as the system resources are being used for the blast as I can, that is why I run on dedicated boxes.

I've tried other configurations, but for the specific hardware I have right now (the boxes are a few years old with some minor upgrades), this seems to be the best way right now. I am looking at upgrading hardware in a few months. When I do this I will run multiple instances of SB on a single box.

UPDATE:

Since my last update, several good things have happened.

1) Rank Checker just finished and my rankings across the board are up. Several keywords that were #100 position and up are now under #20. Remarkable change. No new first pagers today that I see, but a definite shift upwards in rankings across the board. Really more than I expected. Will it hold? I don't know.

2) YSE is picking up a ton more backlinks. Up more than 1,000 since last post. Now sitting at 8,745 and climbing. Webmaster Tools in Google still isn't reporting link count, but the Search Queries section is starting to fill up.

**One thought I had is the Search Queries section tells you what keywords Google is associating with your site, so maybe I would reinforce those keywords by using them as the anchor text for my next blasts. What do you all think?**

As for statistics, here is the Awstats for April and May (through the 4th):

April:

May:
May-4.jpg

Currently I am running through a huge blast. I took an AA list and split it up into 25,000 piece chunks and started feeding it through SB. I am still focused on 53 secondary keywords right now, but later tonight till also through in all of the keywords from Google Webmaster Tools to keep expanding the base. Friday I am also adding several new pieces of content to the site, which is WAY past to. Right now this site only has 2 500 word articles on it and tens of thousands of back links. Why I haven't need sandboxed is a mystery to me quite frankly.

I believe that the new content will definitely expand my base for keywords and greatly improve my rankings as well as over all site traffic, which is still pretty minor.

As always, post your questions or comments and I will do my best to address them!

Hello Bfellow

i am impressed with your dedication on this method but i am not surprised by it ..why?

beacuse i have tested out this exact method myself a couple months ago and it was for a top keyword in the "iphone" niche and i blasted 10k autoapprove backlinks in scrapebox ..and what happened was that all hell brake loss in google and i started to rank for many top keywords in this niche and i got like 3000 backlinks showing in yahoo siteexplorer in 1 week. only mistake was that i didnt continue blasting this site with scrapebox on server 24/7 and after reading this thread i must say i am maybe going to start blasting that site again and see if i can rank..the site is currently nowhere to be seen in google and as i see it i have nothing to lose. maybe you have some tips for me:D

Edit:

I got an awesome idea right now..this is it: autoblog+this method with high scrapebox blasting+ old domain (can also be a new one)+ Target Huge keywords with many secondary keywords so that you can rank high after a couple of months= Huge cash$$

Hey Everyone,

Quick post here with an update and also a proposal for a possible JV.

First the UPDATE:

So links are still coming into YSE like crazy. I'm up another 1,000 since earlier. Now sitting at 9,760 back links. My rankings I think are starting to stabilize a little bit. Will still have to monitor over a few days and weeks, but my gut is telling me that unless I start adding more content, I've taken two 500 word articles about as far as I can, which is actually pretty damn far in my opinion. :-)

I do have more content coming tomorrow from my writer. This will be the second part of my experiment. Tracking growth with both big time blasting and steady site updates with 100% unique high quality content.

Traffic is still pretty lame, but again, this is really just because of a lack of content. No matter how many links you have, you just aren't going to have the traffic if your site is very thin.

Now for a possible JV:

This is an open invite for you all to PM me or post follow up questions to the JV in the thread for me to answer.

My idea is to run another open experiment here on BHW. This time though, I want to work with someone who can help me create a site that had thousands of pages. Obviously this will have to be through automation some how. I'm not looking for the typical autoblog set up. That I could do on my own. I'm looking for someone who has some PHP/MySQL skills to help me design a Google Trends powered website. I did this once before several years ago but ran into one issue that I think with a second programmer I could over come. I might be able to over come it now, but I just haven't looked at it in a while.

I have hosting, can get a domain, and obviously build back links like a bat out of hell. What I would want in a JV partner is someone who also has the following:

  • PHP/MySQL Skills
  • Apache Config
  • Htaccess, clean dynamic URL's experience
  • Solid Understanding of On-Page SEO
  • XML, dynamic sitemap creation experience
  • Photoshop skills a HUGE plus

This person has to also commit to making progress reports in a thread similar to this one. Obviously we wouldn't give a way the site it's self, but my goal remains to share case studies and answer questions to give back to the BHW community.

I want someone who has enough time to dedicate at least 10 hours a week to this project. I will be dedicating an equal amount of time. I think that if done properly, this thing would blow up. I mean seriously blow up.

If you contact me, please share your thoughts, provide an example or two of your PHP coding skills, and tell me a little bit about yourself. **I WILL NOT RESPOND TO ONE LINE PM's!**

I have the tools, the skills, and the hardware to blow this thing up. I just need a second brain with some solid coding skills and a strong grasp of on-page SEO. Prefer someone who is US based (anyone in Seattle?), but will consider anywhere. You must speak English fluently. If we can't communicate, it will not work.

That's it. Questions, post them in the thread for all to learn. If you are interested, PM me directly. I seriously believe this is a $10k+ a month idea. Maybe more.

First : thanks a lot for sharing this aventure :)
I found this thread today and I read all it since this morning : so interesting !
I have not enough experience to join you but I got a question :

You didn't tell us about Do or Nofollow BL comments, did you post both, maybe you don't care...?

Thanks for the info. Interested in how this goes!

OP, about your JV, are you saying you want to blast a google trends website (non unique autoblog)? What are you planning to monetize this with cause you cant use Adsense and not sure how effective CPA offers would be.

I also have a suggestion, I added you on Skype.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the positive comments. I am glad people are getting something out of this experience.

First a quick UPDATE:

Rankings in Google have not changed over night. Everything is pretty steady. Really looking forward to the arrival of new content today. That is going to be huge towards expanding the site and increasing traffic.

YSE continues to blow up. Site wide backlink count is now 11,069. Off the top of my head that is roughly a 1,300 link increase since the last time I posted. So when it comes to recognized links being built, this clearly is working.

And now to respond to a few posts.

Personally on these huge blasts I don't care. I think if I were to build 10,000 back links, and they are all Do's, then that would put up a HUGE red flag in Google. No websites go viral and pick up a huge amount of links and they are all Do's. So I think it is best to ignore it really and just focus on building as many links as you can.

I've looked at a couple of ways to monetize. And I wouldn't write off Adsense right out the shoot. I gave away enough of the idea to peek some interest but no where near enough to write anything off. I used Adsense on this concept a few years ago successfully but ran into scaling issues.

Sinatra, feel free to contact me on Skype when you see me online.

That's it for now. Just a quick update. As always, post your questions or comments and I will do my best to answer them!

Are you afraid of losing your adsense account with this method? They can be so fussy... I am not sure whether they look at where the links are coming from or just the page itself, whether it's spammy or not.

jhigg,

I don't believe you can lose your adsense account due to your backlinks - after all, you can't control how many or who links to your site. But, G can decided to devalue or deindex your site.
