Manual keyword competition check

Hey, guys.

So, I want to manually check keyword competition by myself, for better accuracy.

I'll take top 10 searches:

- Check keyword density for given word;
- Check DA/PA;
- Check TF/CF;
- Check each backlink for given keyword with majestic/ahrefs;
- Check keyword relevancy???(LSI);

What else?

I wanna be sure I make a perfect keyword competition check...

1) Keyword in title <-- first thing to look at. If the sites are not targeting the keyword but are authority sites and do not have any or many links pointing to that page then it is fairly easy to outrank them.
2) DA/PA/CF/TF: I just use metrics to analyze if it's an authority site or just a small pissy site. If it's a small site ranking then you can rank too, if the smaller site is ranking but not targeting the keyword then you are definitely on the right track.
3) Manually check links + anchor texts. (If site is weak and targeting the KW then there's a huge possibility they're using hidden PBN's)
4) Look for social media pages, q&a sites, forums, blogspots (or other web 2.0's) - fairly easy to outrank.
5) I use KeywordRevealer.com a lot, their difficulty is quite accurate, I just use it as a staple then I do manual analysis.
