Everyday new small and medium-size websites devoted to url shortening are launching. The main source of making money is to put a banner on the iframe; but this is against the TOS of most ad serving companies like AdSense. What is the best way to have a money making banner (ad) ?

Not sure if there's really a way to monetize them, unless you were to make it a free basic service with premium accounts that have more advanced features... like I'm doing with mine... let me know if you find something else that works 
Do you really sell premium accounts in this highly competitive market. I mean there are lots of websites offering the same service. Why someone should pay for service from a new website?

URL shortening is not that profitable, you gotta beat industry heavy-weight first, you can offer some $$$ in return For using URL services at start!
