Ok, im new to the forum and decided i'd share a method i've been using to make a few bucks with FORTUMO and their free SMS Service. Im a total noob to IM and have tried a few of my own poorly thought out methods and even made a coins over the last year but having only just recently discovered BHW im looking to hammer it full time, i really should have done so over the past 8 months while I was unemployed but never mind I'll get to the method.

This has prob been done a million times, and for all I know the idea could be totally saturated but I'm sure with a few twists this could make some cash, i'd really appreciate a bit of an exchange of ideas on making money with SMS if you have any.-

    1. I set up a quick blog on on blogger, with the title "win a 30k modeling contract and a new Porsche (whatever)"

    2. Stuck up a quick description of a modelling contest that was to take place in my area, a fairly large uk city.

    3. So we're looking for potential female models over the next couple of months to enter and all they have to do is send a text to (shortcode from which I earn £2.60 approx). The text costs the sender £5 of which I receive the commission from fortumo.

    4. Discretely mention the costs of the text somewhere on the page, because if like in the UK, u can be looking at massive fines if you don't display the cost of the text messages to the users.

    5. So you more or less get the picture, one additional stream of income from the texts is also to get men to vote for the models, so I set up a link to a page containing pictures of the models along with voting codes and told the blokes to vote "talent" followed by the models code to "60999" or whatever. Now I've figured that on fortumo, u can only pic from 1 or 2 different sms codes per number, however I realised by sending a text to my own service that it doesn't matter what text comes after the initial "proper code" ie in the example above "talent". This avoids having to set up tons of different numbers for each model, of course, it's not possible to REALLY track the votes, but who cares, remember folks, this competition will never really take place!

    6. I also banged up some adsense ads and my amazon affiliate links and prob looking for a few more to appeal to the traffic but that is more or less it.

My plan so far to market the site hasn't taken off, but I am ideally going to go down the social networking route, it can't be that hard to find a bunch of attractive females on FB and drive them to the site.
Secondly, I am also creating a number of YT vids that ill stick up and watermark the SMS shortcode and prize details etc at the end.

So far, with no marketing whatsover apart from a couple of tester gumtree ads, it's made about £30 in the last wk, not a great deal , but hopefully i'll be looking at a bit more.

A fairly noobish idea I know but thanks for reading and Im sure someone here can make alot of cash with a twist on this.

    Peace and Fucking

Anything involving premium mobile numbers is a bit risky in the UK.

Mainly because, it's such a seemingly golden opportunity, but its so hard particularly in the UK to make money, I've tried a hundred different things but they don't seem to work, it is also pretty difficult to stay on the right side of the law with this, im just sure there's a way to still cash in but if I don't find it soon I'll def be throwing in the towel for sms.

Well thank you for sharing your method. Any time a method is shared on here, it allows like minds to process the info and try to work out effective spins and twists.
