Hey guys, I been on this forum, on & off for over 1 1/2 years. I have never posted before because I had nothing to contribute.

Online Income - $2.00 with a amazon affiliate on Hubpages.
$1.95 with adsense on a Blogger Blog.

I didn't set the world on fire. :(

Offline Income - Had my first client - he needed some Hubpages and Blogger Blogs etc. to promote his main site. I was still learning he was a friend so I charged him just $150.00 of that I got $100.00 and got stiffed on the $50.00.
Second client introduced me to my third. They both have local business and needed someone to do local SEO & social media management. I charge them each $1,400.00 per month with the knowledge that on the 3rd month my rate goes up to $2,000.00 each per month. That's right I'm making $2,800.00 per month for now !

I have found so many business that haven't a clue about Internet marketing. They know they need it, but just haven't started.

Guys - serious money is out their in the real world.

Both my clients have had no one go to them and offer that service. I was the first. Both men are part of business groups and the networking opportunity is off the hook !

I will be in a week going to pitch a new client and referral from my second client. That guys business is bigger then the other two combined. I will be charging him at least $4000.00 per month.

I know I need to get serious with online marketing and I will. But with just business cards and networking I'm starting to make decent money.

Good luck to you all, I know alot of you don't need it but for the newbies like me GO FOR IT.

    Thanks

I am really interested in this method and I have several questions. I would love to try this.

So how are you doing all of your SEO work? What are your methods? If you are bringing in that kind of money and you do legit SEO work how were you not able to monetize a niche? How do you base your charges? What do you give them as proof for the work that you are doing? Do you guarantee anything?

Hi, my seo tools are diyseo and seomoz combined they cost me 148.00 per month. The approach is white hat. I know a lot of people who own their own business. They would pay more than I my charging them for a yellow page ad and we know these days that's a waste of money. With the software I showed them how many links they had compared to their local competition. I don't offer a guarantee and they never asks for one . I explained online marketing is more art than science. You have to be confident when you deal with them and that you know what your doing. Originally I asked for $2,000.00 per month and it didn't phase them. But they asked for discount which is what any good busineesman is going to do. I paired my rate to $1,400 for the first 2 months and let them know I am here to work with them. Kept you eye on the big picture. The work will be on going. I explained that if I get you more traffic and you stop promoting the site it will drop off. Business people understand they have to keep promoting their business online and off.

    I hope that helps.

Hey Highlander, I'm going to be getting into offline this month.

So are you just doing social media only? That is a really impressive amount per month for your client - good job.

If you don't mind me asking, what market is that business in?

Hey Longover, I live in Miami, Fl. - I do social media mostly, but I also
do local SEO. As in placing the business in -

    1 - google business listing
    2 - goolge maps
3 - yahoo and bing ( same as above )
    4 - search directories
5 - basic link building 101 nothing fancy
    6 - setting up an e-bay store

One more thing to consider. I setup a real basic blog to get affiliate commissions from my offline clients. If they need a -

    domain name
    hosting company
    voip
    shopping cart, etc.

I sit with them to setup what needing and make a little more on the side.

    See ya

Hey I was just curious on your thoughts for getting that offline business. Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about just calling local companies or even walking in with some sort of presentation. Any recommendations? Do people respond to a cold walk in?

Question -How are you finding clients particularly ones willing to pay out such high monthly premiums?

1 - It didn't occur to me that asking for $2,000.00 per month was high.
Traditional marketing for business people is generally much more
expensive. Yellow pages are very expensive and valpak direct mailing
sucks. Billboards are also a tough way to go.

2 - I live in Miami, everything here is expensive. Maybe your market
might not allow to charge that much.

    3 - I'm not that technical - I have a web developer who I trade referral's with
He builds a site asks them if a have a online marketing plan in place. If
not he recommends me. Many customers have a site already, it's not
setup for seo - sitemap, megatags etc. I recommend him to correct their
site and make my job easier to rank higher in google local listing.

4 - Social media is everywhere - look at the number 1 movie right now.
The news is always talking about Facebook going over 500 million user
and that visitors spend a average time 20 mins per day.
Business owners don't want to feel left behind. They know the
    competition is using it.

    That's it for now.
    Happy Hunting

Do you offer them page one rank on google using niche keywords. Do you write articles to get the keywords on their site? On average how much time do you spend doing their monthly work?
