Ok so we all know that when you install worpress it makes different directories or folders that to store your content/themes/plugins etc,etc.
Well this is one easy footprint that most people forget to cover up.
1. how many of you use damn near the same plugins for every site you build??
2. or how many of you sell links and have those plugins to automatically put the link on your site.
well this (and other things) are all reasons and ways for google to find out your empire of blogs and slap the hell out of them through
--lowered page rank
--deindexing
--and smart pricing (not really but hey who really knows)
Also you have those idots who go around putting wp-content/plugins at the end of your domain name so that they can see what plugins you are using and either
1. report you to google for using "BH" tools
2.download the same plugins you have in an attempt to compete with you...we dont want that.
So in order to combat that i simply create a index.html file (use your notepad that came with your comp or whatever tool you use).
and then put that in your wp-content/plugins folder
if you left it blank , anytime someone "snoops" around your directories they will see a blank white page...
but i like to treat mine like a 404 page and add "useful" material to it.
i gather all of my related affiliate links and i put them on them on the index.html and i line them up just like my plugins folder..
at the top of the page i type in large bold letters
PLUGINS DIRECTORY
then for the anchor tags i use whatever the product is but then i add wp in front or php at the end so that it looks like a plug in for the product.
so heres an example of what my fake plug ins folder would look like
(i dont really have any of the programs they are just the first three i could think of that everybody would recognize)
thats just an example but you can use whatever affiliate programs you have.
get creative...hell i wish i knew more about cookie stuffing as it seems this could work pretty good...
hahaha now we are going to have people trying to rank their fake plugins page.
