Made $100 in March using Brave browser

I wiped chrome off the work environment. Everyone should too. Brave is chrome with privacy and security and without the secret google components (the closed source part).

For some tasks I needed a browser without any adblocking so I choose chrome for those tasks, and used brave for other stuff. I'll switch to brave completely on Monday, and just disable the adblocking when I need to.

*At $1.36 after 8 days, 1 PC, US based while dividing time between browsers.*

Earnings are increasing. Looks like it's gonna double in April.

So.

Brave just sent out payments for partner websites and for viewing ads on their browser.

Turns out I made around $97 bucks across my work PCs by doing nothing. I just use Brave like it's Firefox (I don't go near Chrome with a 10 ft pole).

$15 here, $20 there, added up to around 100 bucks. It ain't much but it's completely unexpected beer money.

I wonder how much value is leaking everywhere right now. Most folks have no idea how much value Google, Facebook and Twitter take from them. Your time online is worth $$$ and most people don't get paid at all. This money goes to the big centralized corps instead of you.

Brave is paying for viewing time. So I must've spent time worth 100 bucks viewing stuff. Probably more if more people joined microcredit systems like Brave. Our time online is worth $$$ you should get rewarded for it.

The money's out there. Google and friends are taking much more than their deserved share. Once the WWW frees itself from Google and their likes and this becomes a decentralized system, everyone will make money online naturally. Because everyone's time is worth $.

We can't go on having one company leeching everyone's hard work.

Get your site verified on Brave Publishers and start receiving tips and donations too.

The WWW was born to be decentralized. I'm pretty sure the Brave model works if everyone joins up.

definitely trying but did you just do this on your phone and pc only ?
what sites ads did you use to make this much ?

I also get in this and let see what it would take.

I didn't use any ads. I just browse normally.
ye i know but can you tell me exactly which ones you have used or just pm them, if you can't share here?

as there surely you cant make this much with anyone using brave, so it must have been somome specific?

can you take you money out of the site tho. dont they just issue bat tokens?
BAT tokens can easily be converted to cash. Cash them out to your coinbase account and convert and withdraw to bank account if you wish

I checked mine and I have made ~22.7 BAT in like 3 months, which is pretty good!
I was under the impression that it pays you only for clicking on those ad notifications! And I think they don't pay for using Private windows ?

Anyway, time to ditch Safari. :D

I'm noticing that it seems to be "progressive", the higher percentage you use it as your primary browser the more ads show up for the time you are browsing. When I was 50/50 Brave and Chrome, I didn't earn much, and when I was 75% Chrome, 25% Brave I basically made nothing.

Yeah its awesome! The referrals were like $7 bucks in the past but I dont think they offer that anymore.
checked my account and was surprised I earned $30 bucks this month.

I just made an install of ubuntu on virtualbox, and going to test that out to see how I can perform with "two computers" rather than just one.

It should get doubled most probably, provided you use both of them. I have Brave installed on my phone as well, and to my surprise, there are ~20 BAT :D
I switch between Firefox focus and Brave on phone, will try to use it as primary browser for couple of weeks and see how it goes.

After a few days it doesn't seem to have helped, of course I was just using one monitor(built in laptop screen). I would stop earning on my windows install and earn on ubuntu install and vice versa. I may try plugging my laptop into a monitor and see if it helps earnings.

I installed it on a family members laptop, and they use the same IP and they are earning some BAT.

Not sure if this will be any help for anyone but you can check how many advertisers and exactly which ones are advertising in your region: https://sampson .codes/brave/ads/my_region/

It also shows you how much you are earning per ad and some other stats.

Solid find.

Does anyone know if using a VPN alter the ads delivered?

Did you answer on how many PCs you used? I use the Brave browser full-time (I do 100% of my work on it) and in a month I earn 5 - 10 BAT (like $10).

Curious how you 10x this in a month.

Thanks :)

I don't have my site verified, but use brave since a few years (2018 maybe, almost a beta tester), but since I'm not from the USA it won't give anything substantial, just tips and pennies. However, is very useful to shut up ads, and specially YouTube ads.
