Lost my job, need to make $4000

I would advise against Fiverr, unless you have some very unique thing to offer or if you could afford to get some fake reviews for your gig.

Could you why you elaborate why you "advise against Fiverr" more? I can go out and get 20 fake reviews for $20.
 
4 years ago i lived in USA for around 5 months. My cost of "living" was $1000 per month including the $600 rent and i was smoking too. Ramen noodles are not that bad.
I will be a hypocrite, if i say that i am really sorry for you, it's nothing personal.

If you manage to make some money, the problem is withdrawing them. Most of the CPA companies are NET30 or even NET45.
For freelancing:
freelancer.com - it takes ~7 days to withdraw to your debit/credit card, using paypal.
elance.com - they withdraw instantly to paypal.

4k a month doesn't buy what it used to used to. It will cost you $1800 a month just to get by in the Philippines. But, the funny thing is that people that don't have money get by.

In Thailand, you can get by spending around $400 or less a month. $100 - $150 for an apartment, $20 - $50 electricity and the rest is food and whatever you want.

To OP, I think it is very hard to reach 4 grand the first month, maybe you can get $2,000 doing a lot of CPA.

First, you need to get the ball rolling, I know you don't have the time now but it is what requires when you do IM. Then again, the quickest money I know is CPA, try it.

For being put on "improvement plans" and having your job threatened because you only closed 1.43/hr tickets instead of 1.45 - oh and that data is from the week before they told you, that you need to close 1.45. I could write a book about the s*** I've put up with - all of that has filled me with dread of having another damn idiot micromanaging boss. The only reason I stayed at that job was because they paid me 75k a year. Now, I'm trying to live on half that, with the same bills.

At this point I'm thinking about filling bankruptcy and finding a trailer to live in... or an island... handing out towels sounds pretty nice.

I don't think you should attempt to earn money with IM if it is an unknown area of expertise; especially not when you are in a position as yourself.
Lets be honest and say that the chance of failure has to big implications for your well-being. I could write here long story, but it all boils down to this.
If you willing to put up the hours and keep your head cool and not think about your past that brought you in this position.

These are the steps you should make
1. Inform the people whom you owe the money and make some kind of deal.
2. Manage your current bankroll
3. Put all your time and effort in to finding a job that pays even if it is little. ( it is easier to bargain with debt collectors when they know there is steady money coming in)
4. Keep on look out for better opportunities.
5. Take time for your self ( Go walk, run , sleep for a hole day of a week do anything ( with exception of drinking alcohol & doing drugs ) that keeps your spirit high during this ruff patch. )

A very close relative has developed a restaurant-related product some time ago, and he has helped a few of his old college friends to get into forming a marketing team, and earn good sales commissions. That selling experience also got some of those friends good marketing jobs later on. In the US, this product could be in good demand, and a person can earn lot of commissions by doing direct marketing, and I think $3-4k range pm is quite doable for anyone who knows or can do marketing. But I don't think he will give access to his online product demo to an unknown internet marketers (blame me... may be I had told him why it is bad, because of how the scams are happening so regularly in IM related fields) he is presently looking for a good marketing company to take over the advertising, marketing, sales, etc related activities for his product.

Hmm.. if you have some marketing skills, and someone here has a similar product, then you can sell around 8~10 (or even less if the price is 1k+ and you earn 40% min commission on it, if you're an experienced marketer then you can even get a lot more) of those products pm and meet your goal. That's what I was thinking on how you can make it... Hope this angle will also help you find your objectives soon.

The minimum you will need for the marketing is a net-connected laptop or even a good tablet, and a few restaurants around your place, and a willingness to be a good local marketer (initially).

I don't see any real way to make $4000/month so soon, you need a ton of work, time and determination to achieve that. Also, $4k/month, your needs are pretty high for someone who is unemployed.
 
I've heard that if you help close a good car sale, the showroom owner can give you even that much amount as commission for some more sales like that. Go to such a showroom and confidently request the manager to give you a chance... most people who do such crazy things in life, and when the sky is seemingly falling on their family, and give their very best to win (may be with a sincere power-driven prayer in the mind, they are found to quite miraculously break the jinx, and rise a lot of success steps very quickly! :)

You have my sincere prayers for getting you all the mighty help and successes you need! May be you'll become the best car seller in the whole of the US of A within the next few years!

I know because I can already see the black Merc you've so graciously gifted me! :) So go, make it happen! That owner is also waiting out there for you to turn up and sell those new expensive cars for him!!!

You better stop posting and reading. You should be out working and testing stuff. Read some of the working methods on the forum, there is a few that work out of the box to make som money, but not $4K. Good luck

Sorry OP, sounds like you are whining. Time to man up. If you have NO money then you need a Job. Simple.
We all have to put up with shit now if we want to improve our lives later. Yes it is possible to earn $4000p/m online just like it is possible to earn $100000p/m but it doesn't mean you will.
And if you really hate corporate as much as you say, then get a blue collar job, work outside/with you hands.
Move to a smaller place, cut you bills.
Wasting time wallowing in your own self pity won't help you get anywhere.
I really do wish you luck but no online method is going to miraculously change your life with out you making the necessary change first.

Hey OP, the wait time for Yahoo is around 20+ days since SO many people did the method but believe me they WILL take a look at them.

Some people have made 1k+ with the Yahoo method.

Now about your situation. If you have a few hundred im sure someone here will spoonfeed you a SEO technique that you can use to rank websites, you will have to invest a few hundred (at least $300) for the software and everything else.
 
You need to get a job, the time to build an online presence is WHILE you have your main source of income. I make good money online selling my product, but to get to $4,000 a month took a long time and a particular product that I had to find on my own. I could have never done this if I was not employed. I had to sell on venue's to do that. They brought the convertable traffic directly to my door. Now that I am venturing out on my own, it seems next to impossible to get traffic. To expect there to be a way that you could make $4,000 in your first month of starting is beyond unrealistic.

And for writing articles for money, that volume is insane, all I can say is even Stephen King couldn't do it and keep the articles interesting. That man writes 1,500 words a day and has done so for decades. How does your work not suffer when you could burn yourself out in 1 day with the volume you are willing to do as opposed to a job which would be much easier.

sell your articles at Fiverr, if you are a native english speaker this wont be a problem for you.
also you can write a book for kindle/amazon or something else.
 
you said you worked for tech support, try selling your skills on fiverr or another free lance site?
